She's now into the MD after signing up as a late entry to Prague. Good that she will play a smaller tourney. Let's hope this year Prague will be better than the last two times!

Let's hope so. She should be seeded too! Probably #7 seed.

Let's hope it's better than the other 2 times in Prague. She should have some support there at least. ;)

first round against Akgul Amanmuradova

Let's focus on the first round now, finally a win would be great. I don't care about the second round yet.

Well it's not a bad draw (said with caution) - Akgul is having a great year so far though. And the 2nd (getting ahead a bit), that's also not an easy match. Iveta's been playing very well lately, and Sofia's been doing OK this year too.

Pretty much the best draw Misa could've asked for hopefully she's able to convert

... :help:

I really didn't expected this. I know she's in a really bad slump but I thought that she could win this easily! I think she's just another top 50 player, expected too much from her, though she's better that she's doing right now! She really has to play a challenger or something to get a win, maybe that will change things! :)

Misa

What a horrible year so far :sobbing: 9 match losing streak now!

Erm - Akgul IS having her best year, and is ranked around 60 right now. So for Misa to win easily? No - I didn't think that even! Misa only won in 3 sets the first time they played.

Yeah yeah yeah...

You always have to post a reaction on other posts, even if it's negative or positives..., it become a little bit annoying...

Uhh - this is a FORUM is it not? Are people not meant to reply then? :tape: All I said was that I never would expect Misa to win this *easily* as she was taken to 3 by Akgul the first time they played. WTF is wrong with that? It is clay, which is Misa's worst surface by far anyway, even if it is also Akgul's worst surface. I wasn't being rude or mean in any way. Just saying what I thought. Are you telling me I'm not supposed to do that?

she's really having a tough year so far, not a single win in singles so far :(
not sure if going to challengers would be helpful, because if she starts losing there also her now certainly barely existing selfconfidence (at least on a tennis court) would be going down to zero and and her slump getting even worse, she better sticks with those Tier III/IVs. She still has it in her, she showed it against Cornet in Charleston, kinda unlucky with her draws always facing in-form players which of course is tough if you don't believe in yourself
she'll get a better draw soon and having that first win under your belt sometimes works wonders
last season she had a rather slow start, too

R1; Krajicek/Craybas def. Kapshay/Ula Radwanska 3-6/6-3/10-4

not really convincing but a win is a win :p
I really hope Misa and Jill could go far, would be nice for Misa's confidence

Correct ;)

Every match is hard to win for Misa with her current form

Míša is really being liked here. The crowd was cheering mainly for her, not for the team Krajicek/Craybas, but for Krajicek.
Tennis in this match was uninspiring most of the time, though.

She should be well liked - she trains at that club often enough. ;)

Exactly. It's what I mean. I don't think we should think Misa will win any match easily with the way she is playing.

What's the cut-off for Rosmalen by the way? I hope she won't need a WC, because I want to see another Dutch girl (Arantxa again I guess) play as well.

I think Misa will still easily make the cut off for Rosmalen. Most of the time there are a few top 20 players and a lot 20 - 40 and the years before the cut off for the maindraw was between 50 - 70 or something. The list will come out before Roland Garros I think, where she has 90 points to defend.
I was also thinking the same thing about the challengers, if she also loses there, which is possible ofcourse her self confidence will be nowhere. Hopefully that first win will come soon. I hope she will get a real trainer or Petr Krajicek to coach her again, or only in European Tournaments. Even if she says she doesn't need a trainer, it's not going the right way at this moment.

well at least she is doing well in doubles now :D
she's in the SF with Jill

In what sense?

she's in the Entry List off Birmingham, but it wasn't originally planned in her tournament schedule:)
anyway, i think it's a good decision!

Hmm I thought the Birmingham entry list wasn't out till Monday. Maybe I'm a weeko ut and the Rosmalen list will be out Monday - actually, yeah that'd be right, coz it's only 6 weeks yesterday till I go to NL, and so Misa will be in the MD of Rosmalen. :)

But yes, playing Birmingham is a good decision. ;)

Misa & Jill def. Dekmeijere/Dzehalovich 3-6/7-5/14-12

What a match :scared: Misa and Jill were down 3-5 in the second set, then won 4 games in a row :D
In the Super Tiebreak they were always down, their opponents had 3 Matchpoints at 6-9 but Misa and Jill fought back.
They wasted 2 MP's but won the third and the match :D

In the final they play against the Czech duo; Hlavackova/Hradecka or against Rosolska/Kustova

Still it was a good tournament :yeah: only in doubles :p
