For Maria it will probably be her match against Venus 2005 WIM SF

JJ's loss to Venus at the US Open last year. It was such a great match from both of them that I didn't even feel too sad JJ lost.

The one with the highest quality tennis was Wimbledon 05 but I still don't 'like' that match. Lena at US that year was a pretty cool one although memories of Wimbledon were still very painful at the time.

I'd probably say to Clijsters, 57 61 62 in the Antwerp SF. Fantastic match from both players, the 62 score is unforgiving for the quality and fight in that set, plus the first set was SO good from both too.

Lena: Henin def. Dementieva Stuttgart 07 (46,46) Lena had BPs for 5-all in both sets but I saw some high quality from her so i was happy

Justine: Bartoli def. Henin Wimby 07 16,75,61 It was the best match I've ever seen, I love the match. I didn't mind Justine losing because it was such a breath-taking performance from Marion. I was speechless and happy for her. never mind Justine, you'll win it some time..

For Tsveti - probably the match against Henin this year 7-6(4) 3-6 1-6 :sad: Tsveti was 3-1 up in the second set, but after that Henin just showed why she's #1.


Other notable - 6-4 2-6 5-7 and 6-3 4-6 1-6 against Jankovic in 2 consecutive weeks 2 years ago... Seems Tsvetana just can't win important matches :(

as for daniela, well, she played superbe against ivanovic SF 2008 AO for one set, very high level. but lateron she made more errors. well, if she 'd have played like in the first set it wouldn't be a loss so yeah ... think I'll pick that one

Her 2006 USO QF loss to Sharapova was pretty good too. She pushed Maria closer than anyone the whole tournament really, and served great.

The Miami '06 Sf with Tati and Maria was one of the best matches I've ever seen. It was so dramatic and so high quality. I've never seen a crowd get so into a match (and so anti-Maria)! It will go down in history as an amazing match, to true tennis fans. The best game of the match was at 6-3, 5-3 where Tatiana saved four match points and each one was a super-long rally. Just a breathtaking display from both players. Anyone who hasn't seen it really should. The game I was referring to is on YouTube, thanks to "Box."

I thought the SF at the Masters of 2003, against Amelie, was a high quality match. I think it's the only match where I wasn't really disappointed, because I really enjoyed that match, with both players reaching a great level. Just a pity it took so much from Amelie that she never reached that level in the final.

I didn't watch it, but it was supposed to be extremely exciting. It definitely changed Kim's career as well. Her loss against Lindsay in Wimbledon 2005 was also pretty good tennis. And Antwerp was by far one of her most memorable losses (2007 against Mauresmo), what with all the emotion and what not.
