Missed smash. Amazing memories :worship: Brena Apr 11th, 2008, 03:30 PM JJ's loss to Venus at the US Open last year. It was such a great match from both of them that I didn't even feel too sad JJ lost. Cp6uja Apr 11th, 2008, 03:33 PM Berlin 2006: Ana Ivanovic - Na Li 6-1 *0-0 Ivanovic retire. Apr 11th, 2008, 05:16 PM The one with the highest quality tennis was Wimbledon 05 but I still don't 'like' that match. Lena at US that year was a pretty cool one although memories of Wimbledon were still very painful at the time. Ryan Apr 11th, 2008, 05:32 PM Hmm, probably the 2000 US Open SF to Venus, amazing tennis until the mini brain fart at 5-3. moby Apr 11th, 2008, 06:01 PM Martina: 2000 US Open SF to Venus Justine: 2001 Wimbledon F to Venus, or 2007 Miami F to Serena. And I think rightfully Venus and Serena's best losses have been to Martina and Justine too. As favourites of their rivals, I'd say: Venus: 1999 USO semi to Martina, or 2007 USO semi to Justine Serena: 2001 AO QF to Martina Natalicious Apr 11th, 2008, 06:10 PM for tamira paszek definitely the match against JJ in round 1 of this year AO for amelie i dont know :o Wayn77 Apr 11th, 2008, 06:12 PM v. One of the best matches ever :worship: That match is such a pleasure to watch. Wannabeknowitall Apr 11th, 2008, 06:27 PM All I have to say is Lindsay Davenport and you know what match I'm referring to. LudwigDvorak Apr 11th, 2008, 06:34 PM I'd probably say to Clijsters, 57 61 62 in the Antwerp SF. Fantastic match from both players, the 62 score is unforgiving for the quality and fight in that set, plus the first set was SO good from both too. Beny Apr 11th, 2008, 07:07 PM Lena: Henin def. Dementieva Stuttgart 07 (46,46) Lena had BPs for 5-all in both sets but I saw some high quality from her so i was happy Justine: Bartoli def. Henin Wimby 07 16,75,61 It was the best match I've ever seen, I love the match. I didn't mind Justine losing because it was such a breath-taking performance from Marion. I was speechless and happy for her. never mind Justine, you'll win it some time.. LDF Apr 11th, 2008, 07:11 PM I'd probably say to Clijsters, 57 61 62 in the Antwerp SF. Fantastic match from both players, the 62 score is unforgiving for the quality and fight in that set, plus the first set was SO good from both too. Yeah, I remember that match - the scoreline doesn't flatter it, because it was actually very close and both of them played extremely well. Lindsay's 'best loss' was the 05 Wimbledon final, though honourable mention goes to the 2001 US Open QF. iamme Apr 11th, 2008, 07:17 PM for Maria- sure the Yec final 2007 and maybe the USO semifinal in 2005 against Kim..however I can't remember completely:rolleyes::lol: black_fire Apr 11th, 2008, 08:23 PM For Tsveti - probably the match against Henin this year 7-6(4) 3-6 1-6  Tsveti was 3-1 up in the second set, but after that Henin just showed why she's #1. Other notable - 6-4 2-6 5-7 and 6-3 4-6 1-6 against Jankovic in 2 consecutive weeks 2 years ago... Seems Tsvetana just can't win important matches :( FORZA SARITA Apr 11th, 2008, 08:27 PM For Flavia the match lost against Masha in Wimbly :( Thkmra Apr 11th, 2008, 08:38 PM 2007 YEC Final I totally agree, that match was high quality, from start to finish, and Sharapova def should have won, she played much better!! ...My pick is def Graf def Venus 6-2 4-6 6-4 in Wimby Quater  .......Oh, and Mauresmo def Venus 6-4 in the 3rd after V lead 4-2, in Antwerp, preventing V from obtaining, the much coveted Diamond-studded racket!! :fiery: LindsayRulz Apr 11th, 2008, 08:52 PM Yeah, I remember that match - the scoreline doesn't flatter it, because it was actually very close and both of them played extremely well. For Jeca the 07 LA SF loss to Ana. I love that match!! Well I think her Match vs. Shahar in AO 2007 was a great match! Dav. Apr 11th, 2008, 11:58 PM The Miami '06 Sf with Tati and Maria was one of the best matches I've ever seen. It was so dramatic and so high quality. I've never seen a crowd get so into a match (and so anti-Maria)! It will go down in history as an amazing match, to true tennis fans. The best game of the match was at 6-3, 5-3 where Tatiana saved four match points and each one was a super-long rally. Just a breathtaking display from both players. Anyone who hasn't seen it really should. The game I was referring to is on YouTube, thanks to "Box." jujufreak Apr 12th, 2008, 12:41 AM Justine: Bartoli def. I was speechless and happy for her. never mind Justine, you'll win it some time.. as a Justine fan, you loved that match??? Justine didn't play well, so this can never be the best match she lost... I thought the SF at the Masters of 2003, against Amelie, was a high quality match. I think it's the only match where I wasn't really disappointed, because I really enjoyed that match, with both players reaching a great level. Just a pity it took so much from Amelie that she never reached that level in the final. TNT96 Apr 12th, 2008, 01:12 AM 1991 Wimbledon, Jun 24 $2,728,856+ The Championships, Wimbledon London, GBR Graf d. Great match! one of the best last year! Another vote for that one. An epic struggle in an uncharted territory for her against a better player from 1-4 down in the decider to serving for the match at 6-5, getting within two points from the finish line. Who knows when such an opportunity will present itself again :awww: Robert-KimClijst Apr 12th, 2008, 03:27 AM I would probably have to go with (for Kim) her 2001 loss at Roland Garros against Capriati 16 64 12-10. Both players gave it their all and put their heart into it. I didn't watch it, but it was supposed to be extremely exciting. It definitely changed Kim's career as well. Her loss against Lindsay in Wimbledon 2005 was also pretty good tennis. And Antwerp was by far one of her most memorable losses (2007 against Mauresmo), what with all the emotion and what not.
