View Full Version : Questions on RG tickets

Just wanted to ask those who had been to RG before...

I've received a confirmation email of getting my tickets for the 2nd day of the tournament which are the outside courts.

I've also placed a ballot for Phillip Chartier on the first Saturday of the week. However, the email didn't mention about me obtaining the PC tickets.

So does that mean that I'm not allocated the PC tickets?

If I didn't get them, will it be easy to obtain them at the ticketing booth? Stadium passes for the day must be purchased on that particular day?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

thank god someone asked a question on RG tickets so I wouldn't have to create a thread for mine. I've got almost the same question. the tickets that we ordered through www.billetterie.fft.fr (http://www.billetterie.fft.fr/) were not allocated in the end, so will it be possible to buy tickets at the ticketing booth (for women semis and women final) or maybe someone has tickets they want to sell ;) and if they're not too pricey I'd buy them ;) and, forgive my naivety...

Yeah, pretty sure it means you didn't get the other tickets. I did order that way for 2 days a couple of years ago, and I only got 1 day, and I'm pretty sure they didn't say anything about the day I didn't get either.

pka - probably difficult to get tix for semi's and finals. ;)

I have the same question but from the US Open? Do you have info about how much will USO's tickets cost (based on last year's tickets)? Or when will we be able to buy them?

Look on the USO site - it should have ticket costs there somewhere. I'm sure I was looking on it for last year. Not sure about the buying process there though.

thanks for the help!
did you purchase the tickets at the ticketing booth on the actual day that you got rejected? :)

No. I went with James (the mod) from here - we drove from NL. We just decded to look around Paris on the day we didn't get tickets, so I'm not sure what the go is with purchasing on the day. Although when we did go in, they had 2 queues at the enterance we were at. One for pre-purchased tickets, and one for people needing to buy them.

on the day itself, you might still be able to buy tickets but only for the first days. For the finals it's almost impossible to get some on the day itself.

Normally there are people on the streets going to the stadium that sell tickets but mostly they ask prizes that make you :eek: ;)
I heard a man last year buying 3 tickets for the Chatrier the first friday. They were nice seats but he payed 500 euros for that...
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't pay that. :o

if you only received confirmation about 1 day, mostly that means you'll only have tickets for that one day.
but be happy you got it like that, I already read about someone who asked two tickets for two days (so four tickets) but who only got one ticket for each day, which is really inconvenient cause he wanted to go with a friend :)

my dad had his confirmation, I didn't get mine (yet) (my dad for first thursday, I for first Friday)
hope something will still come up, otherwise I'll have to take away my dad's tickets :p

my dad's gone to paris for the last 15 years almost and he has found it harder and harder with the years to get tickets, especiallly if you're not french ;)
I guess you have to be a bit lucky!

I guess that I'm lucky to have got the tickets that I asked for, (one for first Sunday on Lenglen and one for first Monday on Chatrier). From what I understand they only advise you of what you have been allocated, so if you didn't hear about something you asked for I think it unfortunately means that you didn't get them. (My ticket categories have been changed, but I'm not complaining as at least I got tickets, and I'll probably wander round and watch some matches on the annexe courts too, depending on what's on).

Yes, you can buy from touts but it will be very expensive. Try ebay, but make sure you click on advanced search and search items for sale in european union, not just UK!. I'd recommend paying via Paypal if you can as it's much safer; if the ticket doesn't turn up you can get a refund. I bought a ticket this way last year and it all worked fine

You could also think about going to the Benny Berthet charity day too, it's on the Saturday before the tournament starts (24th May). It's 19.50 euros a ticket, 11am - 7pm; you can watch exhibition matches with lots of the top players any court (first come first served, ie. no reserved seating) and the atmosphere is great.

you can also buy these tickets from the following ticket agencies:

I only went once in 2006. I didn't think it was that bad, but I only asked for Ground Passes for 2 days - and then only got them for 1 day - but that wasn't such a problem, but geez, if you can't even get one ticket for 2 days, that's pretty bad!
