Heya,

I think some already noticed that she didn't play since like 2 months now and is withdrawing all the time. I have asked her and she told me she is injured and gets a surgery on her knee in june. They said she can't play tournaments before end of August again. She will use her protected ranking of 206 then and maybe returns at US Open - Qualies :D She will also won't play before, cause then she willlwait for Protacted Ranking, cause it would not make sense for her to start with a ranking outside Top-400 then.

She will also play German "Bundesliga" , but can't tournaments before. However her problems on knee already started last autumn and didn't go better, it was one reason why her results went worse again.

Hopefully she will use the break and comes back stronger & also finds her motivation back, so I think the break is not that bad. Her goal is still to re-enter Top-100 and improve ranking in 2008 still so much as possible.

All the best Angelika & hopefully you can maybe show us after your break what you really can :D Maybe wins like over Dementieva in 2002 again....? Who knows :D :D

She will not come back to the top-100, but still sad to see her injured.

Hopefully, her SURGERY (don't say operation^^) will be successful.

Dementieva must be relieved!

:haha::haha::haha:

Roesch is on heck of a character. Never have seen her smiling. She was always angry on the court. Didn't want to be in the shoes of her opponent, 'coz she looked like she could kill with the racquet.

Maybe Lena was scared she could get hurt and that's why she lost all those matches against Angelika... :armed:

Well, Angelika also smiles on court :p She smiled in Stuttgart when she hit a ball in crowd and the kid who threw it back and then almost on the head of the umpire  There she got a big smile on her face :p

Outside court Angelika is a very nice & friendy person though.

Yeah - this is the Angelika I know :)

You know - the funny thing is, that many players, who on court seem to be bitches, turn out to be the friendliest ones outside of it.
You just never know until you get to meet them.

Thank you :) Well, let's hope so :p

She was on such a good way back in first part of 2007 - Season, then she got calf & knee - problems :awww: I'm glad she doesn't think on retirement or so :D

Maybe I will see her playing for German "Bundesliga" :) Would be great, she can play this, but no tournies at the moment.

Yeah. Angelika is a crazy person, however very lovley in real. However I can't believe she is already 30 :p She seems much younger & also looks younger (She is an attractive woman though).

Definitely  Okay, I knew that from Angelika before :) But in some other cases it is probably the same
