Karolina had been playing good tennis this week so far from having to play qualifying rounds, then beating Sugiyama and [3]Hantuchova

Do you think she has chance to win over Davenport?

I saw Lindsay played (1st time since she's back from maternity) at R2 AO 208 against Sharapova...she wasn't move that well

but now, she is playing on clay, how great is her claycourt results?

i voted Linds cause of her record but if Sprem is on then she could win 7-5 6-2 and send linds packing

They have played four times once on grass twice on rebound ace at the oz open and I can't remeber where the fourth match was played. On clay Sprem has a chance as gives Lindsay a run for her money on her best surface so the big question is. Is the surface going to make a difference? and another thing is they haven't played in two years.

Lindsay's ability on (green) clay is not the question here. Check her AI Past Results and you'll know why.

The question here is Sprem's form. Will the fire run out? Or can she keep up this spark.

Lindsay in 3.

Sprem hasn't ever even pushed Lindsay, even when she (Sprem) was playing her best.
Lindsay plays aggressive tennis with so much more control and accuracy than Sprem.

But Lindsay isn't as good as she was in 2004 and 2005. And this match is on clay. If Sprem can move Lindsay around and serve well, she's got this match. I just feel she'll make too many errors because of the pace off of Lindsay's ball. It also just seems like she might run out of gas...

I'd Say Lindsay. This one is hard to call. I want Sprem to get the win and really build some confidence.

Sprem is too erratic and Lindsay is too consistent. She knows how to handle these players. If Sprem had Sharapova's consistency, it might be an issue, but Davenport should be able to withstand whatever barrage Sprem throws at her. It's sad to see these two meet early, but...

Davenport in 2

At AI very good. Won the title in 1997, 2004-2005 and runner - up in 2003 and a match record of 31-5 not bad for a clay court hack. :)

Lindsay has always beaten Karolina in two sets and has done that four times before. She will do that again.
