The menu bar has changed to include a FORUM and a HEALTH SECTION, although at the moment they are both dead links and link to the video section.
So there is now an Official WTATOUR forum it seems.
Hope this doesn't mean this board will die.

There used to be one there before wtaworld existed. I believed they kicked the forum off the site when they saw all this crazyness

I guess Larry is seeing now just $$$

Sorry but they can try all they like, nothing will ever beat wtaworld. This has survived since 2001 and is probably the best tennis forum on the web.

That forum link has existed for many months on the home page of wtatour.com. It has always linked to, and is still linking to: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/?from=wta ..mostly discussing ATP.

I remember that forum. Everybody had their heads up Roddick's ass and most of the posters were blatantly sexist assholes.

I would bet that it was all John McEnroe with a bunch of different screen names having conversations with himself.

I still remember my former name in sanex wta tour forum.
I think it would be nice for tennis in general to have a lot of forums.

I will probably neither join nor look at it. Just not enough hours in the day.......

Tried it.. when you click on Forum it takes me to a strange page that is not a forum... has Sania Mirza's face there... exploring a little more.....I then have to click Talk Tennis Forum to get to the forum..... How could so many threads/postings already exist?!?!? Looks like they put the old database from 2004 up, and now folks are adding onto it.

I did notice a link from wtatour.com to another site that supposedly had news articles written by tennis fans. I guess they get tennis fans to write things, put the articles on their site, then collect the advertising dollars.

What I saw there looked like somebody had put a lot of effort into writing these articles, but they were lacking something.... for ex there was an article supposedly about Chinese doubles players Zheng/Yan, but the article then mostly talked about Chan/Chuang and did not make the distinction that those two are from TPE.

NOW I don't even see that link from wtatour.com's home page. :confused

Probably the best tennis forum on the web there is no probably about it. It's the best tennis forum on the web. I don't think wtaworld has too much to worry about.

Why on earth are they linking to it though when, just taking a quick look around, it has hardly any WTA topics on it at all? :o

It really doesn't look all that exciting, the forum I mean. Looks like shit and it aint set out right at all. Not exciting enough to entice me to join their forum anyway...

The reason why I'm scared is because you have over 120,000 posts here and I'm scared how many you have there :p

Not many actually. I don't post there much - not much to say on there. I use the chat to talk to my friends there. And 120k is over 6 years, so it's not THAT bad like you make out. I dunno why everyone goes on about the number of posts people have. Most of my friends are interstate or overseas - this is the best way to contact them as most of them are into tennis too.

I thought 120,000 posts was wording it nicely. An average of 50 posts per day for the last 6 years is even scarier than the smiley!!!

Actually, my post average is less than 50 post per day, and I sure as hell don't post that much now - it's dropping ever yday. Alot of the posts were made when I was in my Uni years and we had free access to the net labs. i still don't see what the big deal is. Plenty of other posters have much higher ppd's than me - some of the Polish ones were over 100ppd when they started. And I never see anyone go on at TBE about his ppd, and he has more than me.

The new design is looking much better than the old but I still don't like it. I think there is still a big gap between WTA & ATP site. The ATP for example has a much better design and statistics of every match...
