ESPN2 to Cover Amelia Island Tennis

After enduring a month of FSN’s erratic scheduling of the Pacific Life Open and Sony Ericsson Open, fans can rejoice that ESPN2 is back this year to broadcast the 2008 Bausch & Lomb Championships.

Cliff Drysdale and Mary Joe Fernandez will be in the commentary booth for the network during the Tier II tournament.

Quarterfinal Match - ESPN2 - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Saturday, April 12, 2008
Semifinal Match - ESPN2 - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Hopefully I'll get to see how Pova's playing. There are a couple of good Quarterfinals, so there's no guarantee. I can almost bet the house that if she makes the SF she'll be on tv, likely playing Davenport or Szavay.

Actually ESPN 2 traditionally covers Amelia Island. I`m so glad to see them finally back broadcasting tennis again. :) It will be so great to hear the always classy Cliff Drysdale and Mary Jo Fernandez again.

I think Eurosport is also covering those matches (except the Semis live) here from Friday so hopefully i'll be able to see Maria! :)

I dont even understand why they have to wait until friday...they do nothing but shwo reruns of crap all during the afternoon. They dont show the Masters golf until 4 o'clock eastern. This is where TTC should step in and show early rounds. Its just stupid for no coverage until the quarters. Then just a few matches?
