The day is.... frickin'-miracle-they-gave-our-girl-a-damn-day-off day! That's what it is... not that it makes my thoughts on a Pick any easier!

Michael,

I heard the fantastic news on TalkSport (Alan Brazil show), he was talking to their reporter in Miami Lil Faroop.

Ian Aberdon
Apr 1st, 2008, 11:39 AM
I think the people at Talksport only talk to Lil Faroop once a year.

Look on the bright side (in light of the other announcement)... at least Jamie isn't near as gross as Andy "fiddling" Roddick.... I mean UGHH!! Poor Brooklyn having to watch him constantly grabbing... [/shudder]

JJ would accept ANYTHING in order to avoid practice! No, JJ, you can't get engaged to anyone until you've kicked Demented's arse. Back to the practice court! Sorry...

Oooh ooh in that case - maybe the plumbers were joking and fooling me when they said I would again have no hot water and heating tonight...?

Oh... maybe not!

Oh Danilo - bad news about the exam - but good job you realised :)

There is an April Fool in our evening paper (EARLY edition ) that shows a "repair" on a housholder's water pipe has been made using...........AN OLD COKE CAN!!!

A joke of course, but I can't help feeling, given the total incompetence of our City Council & recent cutbacks, that their contractors haven't REALLY fitted an empty coke can around the pipe!!

JJ better not even think of marrying Jamie (even if only in some of her crazy WTA fans wildest dreams) because she is a party girl and I for one prefer her to stay the way she is with LOTS of boyfriends. I would hate to see her tied down to just the one guy because I do not think any one guy could possibly be enough for her.
Having said that I do think Jamie is a very nice guy.

Did anyone spot the BBC Brekkie AFs... the Big Ben one, the dog-racing on ice... and the best of all - the flying penguins!!!

Ian Aberdon
Apr 1st, 2008, 03:34 PM
Penguins...flying over Big Ben?

Apparently a radio station in New Zealand tried an AF spoof in which they announced that the Foo Fighters were to perform an intimate gig at their studios.

The station expected no more than 50 people would turn up, the intention being that they would play a TAPE of the FFs instead...imagine their shock when THOUSANDS swamped their switchboard, people TOOK HOLIDAYS to fly to the "venue" from right across NZ!!!

The station had to put out an apology & tell people NOT to come across!!

The station MD reported that it was due to an over-enthusiastic PR Dept & that "heads had rolled" over the incident!!

there was one when i was about ten, on radio four no less, that the london eye, after it had finished its term would become a bridge across the thames like a crazy merri go round

i believed them :s

RFS

Awww becky - that's really sweet.
Loads of people who had BMWs for company cars were taken in by one AF one year that said a load of wing mirrors on the 3 series had been put on wrongly, and to test is they had the right ones, they had to attach a ribbon to each one and observe which way the ribbon blew at speeds above 30 mph...

This is why I would AVOID a Beemer for my company waggon when mine comes up for renewal!!!

Or it's a big cox

RFS

Ian Aberdon

Was there not an infamous commentary (Harry Carpenter?) about the victorious Oxford crew post-race dipping their cox in the water?

Or someone kissing the Cambridge cox ('cause she happened to be female)!
