Breaking the top 100 has always been hard and I would try to make a list of the past and current players who never reached the top 100, having a personal best between 101 and 110), the 101 is almost a disgusting place to have, I remember Bethanie Mattek and Stéphanie Dubois being close for a long long time before breaking...

From the past I do remember Tessa Price from South Africa at #101...
Neus Avila (SPA) : #105
Jennifer Santrock (USA) : #103
Nathalie Guerrée (FRA) : #108
Penny Barg (USA) : #104
Federica Haumuller (ARG) : #102
Miriam Schnitzer (GER) : #109
Julie Richardson (NZ) : #102
Allison Bradshaw (USA) : #102
Martina Pawlik (GER) : #106
Siobhan Drake Brockman (AUS) : #109
Vanessa Webb (CAN) : #107
Anna Foldenyi (HUN) : #107
Libuse Prusova (CZE) : #103
Hellas Ter Riet (NED) : #110
Niurka Sodupe (USA) : #108
Michelle Jackson Nobrega (USA) : #108
Laxmi Poruri (USA) : #110
Louise Latimer (GB) : #107
Haruka Inoue (JAP) : #108
Katalin Marosi (HUN) : #101
Katerina Bohmova (CZE) at #107
Yulia Fedossova (FRA) at #107
Jorgelina Cravero (ARG) at #106
Nathalie Vierin (ITA) : #103
Sophie Ferguson (AUS) : #109
Zuzana Kucova (SVK) : #101
Marie-Eve Pelletier (CAN) at #106

Now we have :

Alexa Glatch (USA) : #102
Vitalia Diatchenko (RUS) : #105
Kristina Kucova (SVK) : #103
Junri Namigata (JAP) : #105
Olivia Rogowska (AUS) : #108
Maria Sanchez (USA) : #107
Maryna Zanevska (UKR) : #107
Maria-Joao Koehler (POR) : #102
Ying-Ying Duan (CHN) : #104
Magda Linette (POL) : #106
Anna-Lena Friedsam (GER) : #107
Shelby Rogers (USA) : #109
Jovana Jaksic (SRB) : #102
Danka Kovinic (MNE) : #106

Barbara Mulej got very close, I know she got to at least 112.
Also though Drake Brockman got slightly higher than 109

...and yet she never made the top 100 :tape: (although to be fair she seemed to focus more on doubles)

I believe Sabine Lisicki won't be a member of the "101-110club" anymore after her 1st round win in Berlin!

Monica Niculescu is a new entrant at #108. Yanina Wickmayer, Katie O'Brien, Julia Goerges, Olivia Sanchez and Anne Keothavong are good prospects.

A lot of girls can make it to the top100 with a good run at the FO, I'm still going with Olivia Sanchez, Evgenya Rodina, Carla Suarez Navaro and Julia Goerges, a 2nd round will be enough.

Who knows for Katie O'Brien after Wimbledon?

Who knows for Katie O'Brien after Wimbledon?

Katie's got big points to defend at Eastbourne and Wimbledon. She has to do it after Birmingham otherwise it will probably take a while to get close again (nothing to defend on US Hardcourts though).

janko

Goerges,Sanchez and Suarez Navarro broke the top100 after the FO.

Next in are O'Brien (new entry at #104 but it will be hard to defend Eastbourne and Wimbledon points from last year)
Rodina, Johansson, Lapuschenkova (who could have broke the top100 by winning one more match in Marseille), Rybarikova, Pavlyuchenkova and (who knows?) maybe Manasieva, Pandzic, South, Voegele, Duque Marino or Jozami ?

I think melanie south will be entering this list soon. Shes going to play some more 25k and 50k ITF's in India. She may reach top 100, but I don't expect her to cement herself in there like Keothavong has done this year. Would still be a good achievement though :D

New entries with Alexa Glatch and Arantxa Rus:)

Both of them are really close to break the top 100, so are Masa Zec-Peskiric who needs one more round in Marseille and Elena Baltacha in Birmingham. Missed occasion for O'Brien...

Next possibilities (out of the top120 though) are Diatchenko, Sevastova, Oudin, Hercog, Gullickson, Wienerova, Ivanova, Dentoni, Martic and Scheepers.
