Interview with Jennifer Selles



Q:Jennifer. Tough match out there todday. How do you feel physically?

JS: I feel great. It's amazing. I haven't felt this great in a long time. I feel very relaxed on the court. Nothings bothering me, most of all I'm having thje most fun I've had in a long long time.

Q: How do you think your chances are in the semifinals again Anabel?
JS: Well, obviously she's a great player. She's got a tough game and she is an amazing fighter. We played doubles in 2 tournaments in the last month, so I've learned some tips from her which certainly have helped me. We're also playing doubles together tomorrow I believe. It'll be a fun match though, for sure.

Q: You won Sopot out of the blue and your playing very well here as well.Where did all this success come from?

JS: Well I'm not really sure actually. One day I just woke up and felt so happy playing the game and when I''m out there having fun on court then the winning is just a bonus. It's great. Obviously the first part of the year i struggled l;osing my first 8 or 9 matches then i won a couple matches then lost a few more firast rounds. I went to sopot, had a great week and all of a sudden my confidence shot up and here I am.

Anne Gambill has been angered by the withdrawl of Annabel Conde-Martinez.Anne lost an epic three set battle 7-6 5-7 7-5 to annabel yesterday and is outraged bgy her withdrawl in the singles event.
'Its a disgrace!She probably knows she'll loose to Jenifer so she claims shes injured and pulls out.I mean if a 14 year old can push her to 7-5 in the third i wonder what a proper player will do to her!'Oh i forgot though didn't i shes already died and come back to life so i'm sure anything is possible'

Are Gambill sister jealous of Conde sisters success on the tour? I guess yes after those comments.

"i have been injured for the last 4 weeks, i can beat a junior even injured, but pro players are better so i have not chance against them with my injury" Anabel said, answering Ane yesterday.

Maikano Yamada-Miyachi reacts to a point during her semifinal singles match. Maikano won the match in three sets, all sets in tiebreakers.. For the first time in her young career, Yamada-Miyachi is in both singles and doubles final.

"Right now I'm really exhuasted. I'm just going to try to focus my energy for both matches and hopefully pull out one win of the two."
