She has been taken out this 6cm cyst on Wednesday and she's given news to the medias and her fans :

Here is a bad translation of what she said :

"First of all, I want to thank people for their support and thoughts. The operation was very successful. Doctors have taken out the cyst and the appendix because they thought it was also causing pain. I think I'll come back to France as soon as I'll be (physically) able to so as to recover with my family."

"A sportsman's life is full of 'problems' (any other word?) but I'm more than ever motivated, I can't wait to go back to the courts and to be in shape for Roland Garros. See you soon and thank you again."

What she said :

Tati is one very resilient girl. But then she has had to be. I hope she will be back a few weeks before RG if at all possible because it always seems to take her ages to regain form after coming back from injury. But even more, I really really hope this is the last injury for a long time. Tati needs (and deserves) a good 18 month stretch where she can go about her business fit and healthy without any interuptions.

I have the impression that Tatiana is in a way saying that she won't be back on courts before Roland-Garros .

I don't want to be too negative but if that is the case, and I did kind of get that impression too, although I didn't want to take it in, I think I would then have to keep my expectations for at least RG and, possibly Wimbledon too, very modest. I don't believe Tati has even come out of an injury timeout playing well. It always takes her a couple of months to get her game back.

I agree with whomever said that Tati is a strong girl. How many times has she been injured and yet she never seems to give up. I don't know whether she will ever be healthy for one whole season.

I wish her a speedy recovery so that she'd be able to compete @ Olympic this year. She was looking forward to it in 2004 and she was very upset for being denied to play. If she misses it again, she must have been very devastated .

get well soon Tati! don't rush your comeback, only when you are fully fit and healthy.

that means she cannot defend her point in amelia island - a further drop in her ranking

she's still young, lets hope she would fully recover soon:)
