Oh, the right knee didn't seem to be good in Antwep. Thinking of last year's injury, I reckon it isn't too bad for Li Na to withdrew so as to keep fit for the following season.
And Nakamura is such a sweet player, but apprently I have to wish Yan Zi good luck in the coming match.
Li will very likely be out of top 30 but keeping fit is more important.

Laura withdrew from Memphis also, and never could find an official explanation.

I believe that the Na Li withdrawal was a wait and see situation. See if Zi Yan wins, and then the crooked CTA (makes) asks Na Li to withdraw since her right knee may still not be 100 %. If Urszula had beaten Zi Yan, CTA sends out Na Li to make them some more money.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw Na practicing (I believe with Misa) this afternoon; literally just a few hours ago.

Did not notice any problem.

Saw her the last two days also. She was definitely practicing all days and intending to play. She would not withdraw while already here, and practicing so much, unless something went wrong today.

I did see a tape on her right knee and I reported that in her forum on Monday. But it was not a wrap, just a light tape.

Zi Yan had lost.

Zi Yan had lost.

if that's the case, I would rather have Zi lost in the first round!!!

Smart move from Li.
Her game is back on form after a bad injury last year and I'm sure she doesn't want to risk it. Miami is more important.

Here is Na today, just before her retirement. The knee is more substantially wrapped.

Things like this is  part of tennis, and always happen time after time... especialy if you are the best player in Svetlana Kuznetsova part of draw :p.

Guess who has an easy road to QF now? God, this is a real joke, she is always so lucky! Obviously she can't do anything for it ... it still is a funny (but annoying for me!) coincidence!
Hope Na is fine & goes back quickly to the competition!
