i'm sorry, but i'm done with shvedova. bangalore last year seems like an ancient memory. i can't believe i waited the whole year expecting something but all i got were first-round exits.

i don't know what went wrong, but the wheels have come off for her. at any rate, like i said, now she just seems like so much hype.

Typical Yari loss.

But I must say these UKRs will fight in a close match.

Bangalore was a fluke I told you that many times :yeah:
Congrats Savchuk for a win and for drawing the easiest opponent in the first round :D

Disappointing loss for Yari, but VERY good win for Olga. Into a TI 2R. Great result.

Wish Olga (Yari too for that matter) would get her brain together--she has talent, but hardly ever uses it.

BTW, Yaroslava won seven more points than Olga. :tape:

:woohoo:
Congratulations Olga. She really needed this win, in fact both girls needed this win.

On the other hand, I am sorry for Yari. Hopefully she can get some wins soon.

Expected unfortunately and I bet against Yari when she is 2-0 in the third set, so at least I win a lot of money, but another lose like this is very disappointing.

Yari has good groundstrokes. She's a big girl and she's still young.
She'll be okay with time.

As for this result....well what can I say...I'm getting used to this kind of thing happening. It's no longer such a shock to the system. It doesn't hurt to much. I kind of almost expect it actually. I guess I've become anethetised. :awww:

Yeah, it´s becoming typical for her... I remember at the australian open, Mauresmo was 5-1 or 5-2, Shvedova got to the tiebreak, I think she had set point, but eventually lost

Shvedova has a lot of talent, if she can get her head on straight for any decent stretch of time she'll start putting together the results to show for it. Tough loss, but hopefully she can start to rebound soon, she has the game to be doing far better than what her ranking would suggest.

Too bad for Yara. She is totally helpless against counter-punchers. Bychkova, Knapp, now Savchuk. Whatever! She needs to work on tactics. :help:
