Her forehand has been off just lately... otherwise she can absolutely rip it.

Backhand of course, that's not even close. She can hit a slice, topspin, flat, dropshot, a heavy shot with pace, can create a perfect angle to open up the court etc, she can do practically anything with that shot and often keeps her opponent guessing what will come next. Her forehand is good too but backhand will always be the trademark shot.

No question about that.
But that awesome BH usually just sets up boomin FH winner. No ?

Do you think her forehand is better just because she hits more winners from that wing? Hmm, take football for example, who is more valuable to your team? A playmaker or a goalscorer? For me it's always the playmaker because the goalscorer depends on passes the playmaker can produce for him.

Justine's backhand offers her many opportunities how to play the game, many different styles and strategies. It's one of the best shots I have ever seen in women's tennis.

Her BH is GREATEST single shot in ladies tennis. But imo. it is still just building shot. For that FH winner.
Why is she suddenly losing ? Someone else spotted that too ?!?

Building shot is more important imo just as playmaker in football. Her forehand has been sucking lately, that wouldn't have happened to her backhand simply because it's a much better, more creative and consistent shot than her forehand.
btw. if her backhand is the greatest single shot in women's tennis then what is this thread about? ;)

Justine's forehand is a massive weapon but the difference between her forehand and backhand is that her backhand was a natural gift. Justine worked hard to get her forehand to where it is now(or where it was in the fall of last year:o) justine's backhand will always be consistent but her forehand can go off because it isn't natural for her. Justine is really an amazing person to get her game to where it is now. A legendary backhand, impeccable movement, killerforehand, booming serve and a shotselection like no other. She created a game close to perfection but everyone will remember the thing that's been with her from the beginning to the end. That legendary backhand.:worship:

As you know, her forehand has more umph and more consistent and reliable but her backhand has better variety and does open the court up nicely when it works. The swing is sooo difficult to read you can't tell whether she is going DTL or CC.

It's a toss-up but I am going for BH purely on the basis that I can watch in for hours and still don't get bored - literally.
