She has a lot of points she doesnt have to go and chase points in the desert, she can afford to stay home and wait for Miami.

Justine has a canny, well-worked schedule.

My guess is she and her crafty entourage are locked away somewhere. Working hard, fine-tuning and plotting Ms Sharapova's downfall in their next meeting. :D

she is staying in Europe as long as she can :D
If Miami wasn't a mandatory tournament she wouldn't play there either

You're all wrong. W-R-O-N-G. Justine is boycotting Indian Wells as a show of support for the Williams sisters. :hehehe:

Justine doesnt have to criss cross around the world chasing points or money, she has a lot of change from last year .She should leave this tournament to the JJs of this world who dont have a lot of sponsors.

If Miami wasn't mandatory, she would play IW instead of Miami because she likes IW better. She would play IW, probably then fly back to Europe to come back to play Charleston later.

But since Miami is mandatory, she replaced IW with Miami but will still be playing Charleston because that is on clay. It's a good schedule for her.

Would she really play IW over Miami if she had the choice? Miami seems like a bigger event with a bigger paycheck and more prestige.

Only advantage IW has is it has the same points but has annually has a weaker field.

Well a lot of players play both IW AND Miami
But then again... there are those clay tournies such as Amelia Island and such... coming right up... maybe Justine just wants to conserve her energy for her favorite part of the year, clay season.

No, i agree.. but for players who limit their schedule(usually those around and over 25 or who have history with injury and illness) they usually don't play both.

Anyway, I was just wondering if Justine would choose IW or Miami if she had the choice as one poster said.
