I think Bammer will stop her in the 3rd round.

Hey you! :wavey: Hoping Lindsay wins this too. I think she's ready to prove that she can win more than tier 3's. C'mon Linds. Revenge awaits.;)

One of the most stupid threads ever... It´s better for your favourite that Lindsay underperforms, because the way JJ has been playing, losing to players like she´s been losing, she´s in a slump right now, and Lindsay will take advantage of that, but I don´t think Jelena will reach the quarters anyway

Signs point to this not being the case, depending on what one's view of Lindsay underperforming is. Bammer will be a tricky player, as she is for just about anybody, but Lindsay has a clear advantage at a tournament she has a lot of experience at. The same goes for the possible matchup with JJ in the quarters. This is traditionally one of JJ's worst tournaments and the conditions should favor Lindsay, although who knows what we'll see from JJ with her inconsistent play. A semi against Ivanovic could be an interesting first time meeting, as so many people have compared Ivanovic to Davenport.

I kindof agree with the thread starter.

If Bammer doesn't take out big Lindz early, cake-lovin' Marion will in R4.

I'm expecting an attractive quarter-final match-up: Jankovic v Bartoli.

lol..the only tournament where daniela actually looks like a tennis player, must be something in the air when she plays there.

Lindsay will carry over her Memphis form into a quarter final with Jankovic and then kick her butt and make the semis and then final. That's providing Jankovic makes to the quarter finals.

She played Beijing three months after coming back and beat Danillidou and Dementieva [who went onto win Moscow] and then lost to Jankovic in the semis having already beaten her Bali, and carrying an injury by then. In the AO she preformed badly but still, because she's elite, managed to negotiate Errani. So, saying that from two tournies is crap unless not performing 'well' is code for not winnning the tournament.

Also, Bammer's ranked and seeded higher so if she did beat LD it wouldn't be Lindsay underperforming. the press are going to love the battle of the moms.

Lindsay has powerful groundstrokes that will bother Bammer , she is very consistent and she always play very well at this event. This is her backyard she loves this event and I believe she will do very well.Go Lindsay!JJ has problems with Lindsay because of the flat groundstrokes and no errors.

When will everybody understand that Lindsay was pregnant, had a son and hadn't play tennis on the tour since a year when she came back? :o

It was a smart shedule and she won't play any tier III or below tournament for a while now.

wouldnt be suprised if she goes really far in the tournament, not a bad draw for her, she's faced similar competition in the tourney's she's won, so i dont think it'll be a shock to see her in the quarters or onwards....

Its an open secret that JJ's game is centred on waiting for errors thats why she struggles against players that dont make a lot errors like the chinese players,Lindsay, pova and a player like Bartoli when she is efficient doesnt make any errors.

Lindsay has always played well at this event no matter what, she usually gets to the last rounds .I would want her to win this event because she deserves a bigger comeback title.
