I took a one hour nap today because I slept late yesterday and I normally don't have dreams but I had one for some reason. Maria was playing Youzhny (of all people  :haha:) on Centre Court at Wimbledon and even though it was pouring rain, they were playing for some reason. :haha: The court had the covers on but you could see the lines for some reason and the balls kept getting into puddles but they kept playing and for some reason photographers were disrupting the match. And anyways, they played 5 sets and I don't even remember what the score was but Maria had to save 5 match points and finally won on her 5th match point. :spit:

I don't even know what the significance of that was but I thought it was funny when I woke up. :haha:

I had a dream about Roger today, it was also really raining heavily and Roger wanted to stop playing but the organizers didn't allow him to do so. Then Roger was sooo pissed that he stopped playing himself and went to the locker room. Then I woke up  This is a one, big, weird dream :p I think it might mean that today during Roger's match it will be raining a lot

I think somebody said that there was a higher chance of rain tomorrow? I'm not quite sure though. But I suppose you might have forecasted rain for the matches today. :p On the other hand, my dream about Maria playing Youzhny most likely isn't a premonition of something that will happen. :tape:

wow... safin.. I still can't believe it
one of the few players that actually have talent to face Federer
*I love rafa, don't get me wrong, he's my fave but he doesn't have 1/3 of Roger's talent

I was cheering for Gasquet (if the frenchies weren't not such a factory of chokers!!)

all that I ask is "please, no boring SF!! No easy wins!! Let's us enjoy some fine tennis!"

Nadal probably has more than 1/3 of Federers talent  he never makes errors and is pretty good at finding ways to slap balls for winners when you'd think they are out of reach.
I also think Safin in closest to Federer in pure talent, he can play insane at times

be consistent doesn't mean have talent
as federer well stated.. talent is about make the hard look easy
which is exactly what he does
Roger makes play tennis looks like something that all of us can do

Roger is sort of the houdini of the the tennis
rafa is a hell of a fighter and is fast
Talent alone can't win matches, but be a fighter can :yeah:

I also think Safin in closest to Federer in pure talent, he can play insane at times

I still can't get over that auzie semifinal against Roger
back there Roger was in one of his best career momments (for a note I don't think that the 08 Federer is the same of 3 or 2 years ago) and Safin was just :eek::eek:
his BH

I'm just hoping for at least a competitive match between Roger and Safin
Btw.. I found what Roger said on his interview today very interesting
Have never seen he say something like that about anyone before:

Q. How dangerous is Safin now? Obviously he's not the same player as 2005, but he's got the two Grand Slam titles and he's obviously motivated again. Do you see him at the same danger level you might have a few years ago?

ROGER FEDERER: Well, yeah, I mean, you've got to look at these guys, Ferrero, Roddick, Safin, Hewitt, these guys who have been No. 1 in the world and have won Grand Slams, you take them like they would be No. 1 in the world in some ways, because one day anybody can play great, especially the former greats like them. So I never looked at Marat like No. 89 in the world. I mean, that's ridiculous. You know, he knows that himself. He's finally showing again what he can do. It's just quite surprising he does it here at Wimbledon in some ways, because he used to dislike playing on this surface. So it should be interesting, because last year I wasn't happy to see Safin in my draw. I'm never happy. He probably knows that. Just been disappointed with the way he's been playing lately, but hopefully he's got a second thing going here in his career. I'm looking forward to playing him in case he wins this.

what about this... a perfect definition of what Nadal does against Roger...
by Marat's point of view of course :hehehe:

Q. How do you see your semifinal with Federer shaping up? Do you believe you can beat him at this tournament?

MARAT SAFIN: You winning four matches and now you're starting to challenge the Federer. I don't think -- I'm playing semifinals, but that doesn't mean that I have a chance there, because the guy has won how many times already here? I mean, five, six times already, and he's on the way to win his seventh title. It's my first semifinal, so levels are a little bit different. To beat Federer you need to be Nadal and run around like a rabbit and hit winners from all over the place. But, yes, why not? It's another chance for me. But I think it's just a little bit too difficult it would be for me to beat him.

Nadal has charisma, no? Where, no? Is saying no at the end of every sentence, charismatic, yes? No?

I find Roger hugely charismatic. Just because he's not a bigheaded jerk (read Djokovic, Roddick) doesn't mean he is boring.

Nadal is basically an ape. He looks like an ape. He runs like an ape. He picks his fat ass like an ape. He even talks like an ape.

I see them both as Nazi, equally as bad as each other, but maybe I'm overrating my own intelligence and perception on that one.

As an artist it is easy from me to go from the abstract to the specific. Why did the Nazi's kill the Jews? Because the Jews believed in God, and the Nazis didn't believe in that God. They did however believe in a God, the God of war, not just the one God.

I like Nadal, but I see him struggling. I'm not so keen of Federa's grin.

I see the same thing happening in sport as happened in the 1920's.
USA is a lot bigger than Germany was, but Germany got quite far in it's plan before it was stopped. Whether monotheist Jew, or monotheist Christian, you must practice what you preach, so it is no good just saying there is a problem without being specific.
Ownership of the game is disputed at all levels, so it is no good saying this is as far as it goes, when it stops being a game and becomes a business where lives are on the line.
I really don't want to pick a winner.

mal, for the love of god, please just shut the fuck up.

Well I slept through the entire match, deliberately, I mean, men's tennis? Even when I woke at about 6.00 am and it was still gong I went back to sleep. I can watch it replayed later, more important to get some rest since I haven't slept for five days now.

Anyway to get back to your point. I have posted in the Serena, and Venus and Lindsay fora, but not too much. That is not exactly "not a single one".
You can say troll. I can say troll to you, because you are acting as the troll, baiting me to knock you off my bridge. However this is the off topic thread.
Now actually Maria knows exactly what I want from her. She is unique in this world, and so am I. I can tell her 100 or a thousand times, but if she says she doesn't know the one thing I'm asking from her, then no amount of widening the discussion will change that. The answer is in my signature, so if you haven't read my posts, ask her.
Rant is a rather pejorative term. I'd rather you didn't use it when speaking about me.

You know, I thought I was rather supportive and encouraging when it came to Maria's career, especially post her first Wimbledon win. Then I had a period of computer problems and a couple of home invasions and went through a difficult period of unemployment while I recovered. I was also assaulted severely by the police on three occasions, and I believe the government should be held to account for this, but they refuse.
Life goes on. We help people, then we walk away for ever when we find out they are not our friends, and are in bed (figuratively) with those who are trying to hurt us. To you is is just a little joke and harmless fun, but to me tennis is business, so I expect to get paid. Somebody assaults Maria's dog Dutchess with a coat hanger, and everybody has a good laugh. Somebody serially rapes my wife for two years and I start to over-react in your eyes because you can't see the difference between what is a joke and what is real.
I'm not ranting, I'm just using words of one syllable so that you have no excuse not to understand them. Everybody should learn English so they know the name of God is not Gott or Gotte, but God.
You know even if I did believe any of the stuff you have written(which I' don't) posting in a board like this is not suitable.A lot of maria fans are young and your post's are often way out of line, anyway I've said my piece and won't be saying anymore about your posts.

You are way too sensitive. You have to distinguish between reality, and what you would like reality to be.

Children love the truth, not to be protected from it. They also love stories with happy endings.

In an ideal world, two girls could meet and fall in love, then one would change into a man, they would get married and live happily ever after with two children and a dog. There is more than one way to skin a cat as they say, which is why we don't say what we mean directly, and guild the lily sometimes. It isn't as though I'm asking you to give money to charity, or cancer research. I'm just making a point to someone who doesn't want to know.

Yeah. To be fair, no one is being particularly derogatory about it. Being a lesbian isn't really an unusual thing in today's society and it seems to be far more accepted than gay male love is.

And I agree, I'll love Maria regardless. Personally, I think she's bi.

I have no idea about Maria's sexuality, but she's said she wants a husband and children, and the same sort of idiots were insisting that she and Roddick or Nole or some other guy were at it constantly.

Hey guys Im back :wavey:
YEAh, I missed ALL of Wimbledon... thanks a lot partly to my Dad who made the hotel reservations...
TWO WEEKS in a 4-star hotel in Switzerland sounded nice...
WELL, me and my family were at a small rural village named Flueli-ranft and the hotel had NO TV! It was kind of those secluded places filled with retired couples... The view was nice, and the hotel food (we had nowhere else to eat) was OK... but no air conditioning, no TV and no refrigerator in any of their rooms! Instead they boast "tele-vision" for their guests... that is... a pair of binoculars in each room... that was weird :weirdo:
In a nutshell it was a place for those "back-to-nature freaks" bah no wireless internet either so I couldnt follow the scores online...

WEll Im sad to find out Maria had a shock loss in the 1st week but chin-up guys she won a slam this year and I see her winning more. It's so nice to be back to civilization again.

Good question. I assume England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales are considered to be separate countries?? If so what does that make the United Kingdom? A super-country?

Or are England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales not actually technically separate countries?

I'm here! And as far as I know United Kingdom is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Great Britain is the same countries, apart from Northern Ireland.
The rest of Ireland (Republic of Ireland) is separate from the UK.
I hope that's right

Well its sort of straight forward...its just a matter of what the UK is classed as. It cant be a country since there are countries inside it.
