This is really sad news. It`s a shame Tati has so many injuries problems. She`s definitely capable of being a top 10 player when healthy.

Yes because getting injured means you don't want to be top 10. :weirdo:
Poor you and your messed up ways of thinking.

It's too bad because Golovin is an exceptionally talented player (especially on clay), and unlike other girls her age she actually has good movement.

However I don't believe injuries, except in extreme cases, are simply bad luck. She is obviously not fully fit and needs to start preparing and training much better than she has been because quite frankly she is sabatoging her own career...

Top 10.

And you know that I didn't use to think much of her game. She wouldn't play like she did on that 1st set vs Henin or vs Kuznetsova at Stuttgart all the time, but with all these injuries it's impossible to find any kind of form and to gather any kind of momentum, let alone work on improving her game.

There is something completely wrong with her training process and the problem has been existing for several years already. It couldn't be just a bad luck when player gets injured THAT often at such a young age.

I agree.
For all of her talent, she will never be able to achieve that much in tennis unless she sorts this out. But her body (especially her ankles) are so vulnerable now that it could be too late for her.

yeah which validates what i was saying about her loss to Mattek. She battled injuries all year and i suspect she will her whole career unless something dramatic happens.

some players are just more injury prone

Tati certainly has top 10 talent. And she has a really attractive game. On the rare occasions she is fully fit she also one of the best movers in the game, not super fast, but she positions herself well and has good anticipation.

But whether Tati is ever able to play an extended period of 6 to 8 months without getting herself hurt remains a very real question. If she can't it is a real shame for her but more so, it is a shame for the game because the WTA needs players with her talent & personality to fulfill her potential. If Tati doesn't fulfill her potential as the result of these injuries once again we the fans lose out. Just as we have lost out so many times in recent years, with numerous players ending their careers prematurely or being hindered by physical or emotional problems.

That's a shame. It's becoming increasingly apparent that either Tati's fitness regime is incorrect or that she's just one of those players whose body somehow isn't suited for the stress of the tour. Let's hope it's the former, as that's fixable, but she and her camp really need to figure it out.
