She's been down the hill, what happen with her....???

I was very surprised by her straight set loss today too, but MGM is a good player who can play some amazing tennis when she is on. I still thought that Iroda would win this one, but maybe she'll come back in her next tourni. I still think that Iroda's backhand is one of the best in business. That topspin forehand could get her in trouble if it's not deep or angled enough. Her serve is very powerful too, but she can off on that shot too. I wish I knew more about the match statistics?

I saw a little bit of that match, Iroda could not control her temper, i think that was the key to her loss, the temper made her to create tons and tons of errors! her serves are powerfull, but MGM returnesd them so well, so Iroda rarely got freepoints off those serves.

A mix of injuries and loss of confidence I guess :(
I've watched her play in person a couple times and boy does she smack the fluff off the ball. When she is on, she is capable of beating anybody out there. I hope she gets her act together soon, because she is great to watch.
Oh and she has already slipped down to no.41 :(

Injuries and the fact that is so incredibly inconsistent as a player.
I think top 10 is still possible next year, she is still quite young.

Iroda badly damaged her knee just before Wimbledon  :(
I hope she can get into some form soon, she's got nothing really to defend until the indoor season :)

Terry you must be referring to the Iorda V Sveta match at Aus Open this year that we watched? It was like Williams against Williams...alot of brute power from both gals and Iroda really suprprising me! she has all the weapons but needs to construe them in a more solid package and understand when to go for it and when to hold back.

Yup... she is always going for broke...
It is not surprising it is like watching a Williams play... the Williamses are her idols after all... :)
