Hey,
Today was a very hard loss to take in more ways than 1. I thought I was supposed to be playing the #6 seed (when I left, he had match point) but it turns out he lost. My 2nd round opponent today?: my boyfriend:eek:  It was a very awkward moment to say the least. All I can say is I can now completely sympathize with Venus and Serena when they play eachother. Both of our games just turned into liquid s*it for the entire match. It was very ugly the entire way through. There were flashes of high quality tennis, but they were few and far between. Each set came down to a single service HOLD, rather than a break! :fiery: I had a ton of chances, but couldn't take advantage of them, and lost 6-4 4-6 5-7. We managed a smile after the match, but it was clear we both wanted to get off (the court):p He ended losing his next match 6-3 6-0 to the top seed, who I lost to 6-4 6-4 last month
I think I've finally realized that this is NOT what I'm going to make a living at. I'm still going to play these tournaments when I can, but they'll be for fun and I'll have no pressure. I have one more tournament this summer, and I'll play singles and doubles w/my boyfriend (that should be interesting lol). It's the first junior tournament I've played in over a year that has doubles, so I'm excited about that since I'm more of a doubs player. It's Aug 23-25 in Bridgeport CT, (not sure exactly where but I'll post in a few weeks) so if the Pilot Pen isn't cutting it ;) come on down. Hopefully I can play better there since I have no expectations on myself .Peace:)
