Ok,

so im a davenport fan (as you may have guessed!)

now we all know shes already exceeded her expectations (and ours) with the way she has steamrolled through almost 4 tournament draws after giving birth, considering we never thought she was coming back at all.

Depending on the draw, and even maybe with some tricky players in the early rounds, how well do you really think davenport can actually do here?

Id love to see her get to the quarters, and depending who crashes out along the way and who seh meets along the way anything is possible....

Were do you see her finishing at the first grand slam?

and if she faces Henin / Shara / V/s williams along the way, what be your prediction for the score? :)

Hopefully Lindsay will be given a kind draw. The only concern I have that, since she has been back she hasn't faced too much top competetion (only really Jankovic who won won and lost one). She hasnt faced a Justine, Williams or Sharapova/Ivanovic; and that is where her test will lie.
Hopefully she can drawthe "weakerof the seeds" in her eighth of the draw, and that would probably be Chakavetadze. That way I'm sure she can reach the Quarter finals.
I would love Lindsay to win the whole thing, we'll just have to wait and see.

yeah i hope she get a kindish draw, but i do want to see her challenged along the way.

and lets face it, even when she was on form the williams / henin gave her troubles a lot of the time, i wonder if a glance into the stadium to see her son sitting there watching her, and her change of attitude, can be enough to pull her through those tough tests.

I think she can do very well, but we'll be able to better address her chances very shortly when the draw comes out.

yes and no,

if she wants it that much shes got the game to slay any other girl on the tour.

I have a feeling she'll lose in like 3R to a big name.

well,

anything is possible.

i think shes got less pressure on her from an expectation point of view, no one really expects her to be a contender for the title, sure shes a dangerous floater, but no contender.

Shes got no worries of giving a brilliant performance for fear it may be her last...i think the retirement speeches are over for the time being, quite the reverse it seems!

if she goes out there, enjoys herself, and remains consistent, what could possibly go wrong ;)

I think she will really enjoy her game and go for it which makes her a real thread to the majority of the seeds. Its tough to tell tbh, as mentioned it depends on her draw a lot!

When is the draw out?

It would be good for Lindsay, the Williams always not sharp in the early rounds.

I feel so sorry for whatever top player has to play her in the first or second round

true, but if They see Lindsay Davenport in their first round they'll def play a lot better than usual. Especially Venus, as she always plays the leve of he opponent... Drawing Lindsay early could be bad for the rest of the draw as if they got through they'd prolly already be in great form...

I think Lindsay can beat anyone in the draw other than justine at the moment. If lindsay's first strike tennis is on, she can beat anybody
