I see the main threat as being being Venus Williams. No where near the standard she was playing at the end of 2001 and start of 2002, but I thin she's the most realistic challenger.

Who do you think will provide the main challenge to Justine this year?Wuornos Jan 10th, 2008, 11:13 AM I see the main threat as being being Venus Williams. Tim Harvs Jan 10th, 2008, 11:19 AM maria Uranium Jan 10th, 2008, 11:20 AM Venus. Huntress555 Jan 10th, 2008, 11:22 AM I think any of the first 7 up there could on their good days. But I'm really hoping Sharapova can beat her, Id love that :D Just Do It Jan 10th, 2008, 11:22 AM Dokic. Dolphin Jan 10th, 2008, 11:22 AM I'd like to see a young, new top ten player like Ana or Anna challenge everyone for slams this year. Michael_21 Jan 10th, 2008, 11:32 AM i think that vaidisova will be a challenge for henin this year mabe not in the rankings yet bet when playing against her she will cause shes one of the players that came closest to beating henin in the win streak that shes on at the moment :) Avid Merrion Jan 10th, 2008, 11:35 AM hopefully both Serena and Venus will be able to maintain a sustained challenge towards Justine this year, instead of only playing in sporadic fits and starts. that's what i hope for anyway, whether i get it is another matter entirely  jazar Jan 10th, 2008, 11:36 AM no one, she is by far and away the best player on the tour le bon vivant Jan 10th, 2008, 12:06 PM Venus Williams samsam4087 Jan 10th, 2008, 12:13 PM Lindsay Davenport sharapovarulz1 Jan 10th, 2008, 12:24 PM Maria will rip her apart every chance she gets lol!!!!!!!!!! goldenlox Jan 10th, 2008, 12:30 PM I think this major will tell who the challenger is. If Justine wins this one, that's 3 of 4, and heading into RG, she's going for 4 in a row there. So if Justine wins the AO, she's by herself. mankind Jan 10th, 2008, 12:32 PM I would have said Sharapova, but now I'm definitely leaning towards Venus to be the principal challenger. VeeTennisFan Jan 10th, 2008, 12:34 PM Venus, Maria, Serena and Lindsay. Sassy-Na Jan 10th, 2008, 12:38 PM Dokic. :help: :scared: Nemo_Kool Jan 10th, 2008, 01:14 PM Vee and Ree...moreso Venus atm saying that though im sure Serena is going to use this mental baggage she has with Henin to good use and give her a spanking sooon..well at least i hope DownTheLine21 Jan 10th, 2008, 01:16 PM I think the following could beat her at some point: Serena Williams Venus Williams Lindsay Davenport Ana Ivanovic Maria Sharapova Ninny Jan 10th, 2008, 01:37 PM Maria will rip her apart every chance she gets lol!!!!!!!!!! Course she will. Didn't she have her chance at the YEC? :tape: Yasmine Jan 10th, 2008, 01:40 PM Maria will rip her apart every chance she gets lol!!!!!!!!!! yes like pretty much any other player on tour  now question is how likely is it to happen:p tenn_ace Jan 10th, 2008, 01:45 PM Sveta of course. Wayn77 Jan 10th, 2008, 01:47 PM Whoever has the most variety in their game. pigmalion Jan 10th, 2008, 01:52 PM Venus Imperfect Angel Jan 10th, 2008, 01:53 PM Definitely not Anna and Marion. I hope Lindsay can beat Justine once on clay. :p Helaena Jan 10th, 2008, 02:41 PM I think this major will tell who the challenger is.
