Hardly. The record would have to go to the penultimate game of the '95 Wimbledon final which lasted about 24 minutes (Yes just the one game). Steffi staved off 10+ break points to (finally!) hold and then promptly broke a despirited Sanchez to win. Or maybe Sanchez was serving. Either way.
Not only was the game longer, it was the most significant game which decided one of the biggest prizes of the year in a close final, not the first game in a first round of a small tournament between two no-names. God. Tennis history does go back more that two months.
