she says it's because she had so many requests of fans :)

we might have another serena-justine clash!

because of justine, the tournament will be held in the 'sportpaleis', were it was held the other years. if she hadn't played, it would have been in the 'lotto-arena', a smaller stadium next to the 'sportpaleis'

That's awesome. I don't mean this as a jibe to any other players but Henin is so good because when she agrees to play somewhere she shows up and does well.

That's great for the tournament! :) Kim has attracted the fans the other years, now it must be the Justine's turn.
+ it would be a shame if they didn't hold it in Sportspaleis.

They must be paying Justine a fortune to keep her from taking all that middle east money

Ever considered money isn't that important to her.

Doha is Tire I with $2.5 millions prize money....
But, I am sure if she won't play Antwerp, her Bel fans will be against her.

I won't miss that opportunity to see her:hearts:

But i'm not sure that's a good decision for her to play there, then play Dubai and then Miami.
I'm happy she will play in Belgium but i don't want her to risk an injury.

If she is playing Antwerp, I think she will skip Doha and play Dubai as Doha is the middle tournament.

HER fans won't, maybe some other short-sighted Belgian people will... but then again, they always find something to be mad about ;)

she better turn up because now most of the tickets will be sold because of her. oh and this means serena will pull out but we will more than likely see serena at paris indoors. i expect venus to go to antwerp aswell if serena pulls out.

it will be great for the tour and her fans if she does turn up, fingers crossed for them.

The promotion machine is already at work. This evening Justine's participation was anounced on the Flemish TV news including a flash from the press conference with Bob Verbeeck the tournament director.

A full house is expected.

So its confirmed that Justine will play Antwerp...

Can anyone also confirm is she is going to skip Doha or Dubai.

I have the feeling Justine will decide if she will skip Doha or Dubai after her AO campaign.....

I really want her to play Doha & Dubai, she have a lot of Filipino (overseas workers) fans in those events.

I don't think she will play there this year... remember, this year's YEC is in Doha itself, so you can still see her at the end of the year ;)

but of course she has to be healthy all season so i can compromise...

Really strange that it is not a matter of course when a player is entering a tournament in her home country. Such a big deal about it....

I never understood why she always skipped Antwerp in the last years and giving her belgian fans NO chance to watch her live. I know that Belgium is something like seperated in 2 country parts, but what I heard during my stay in Antwerp last year was, that when Justine won Roland Garros, US Open etc. last year, the WHOLE country was happy about it and also happy that after Kims retirement they still have another great player continuing her career.

when you have a tournament director like BV, you find ways to not enter said tournament.
