Matches vs. top 10 are in bold and 3 setters are in red.
Record vs. top 20 - 0-24
Number of 3 setters vs. top 20 - 9 of 24

There are plenty of 3 setters and chokejobs, notably against Schnyder at Wimbledon 2007 and against Safina in Toronto. Also, a defeat over Sharapova was entirely possible, after fighting back from 0-5 down in the third set.

I'll update the thread after every match vs a top 20 player. Combined with the 'Ace Watch', it should be an interesting time for Camille :)

2008 has to be her year

That match damn near killed me.... I was glued to the TV for what seemed like days....

Hopefully Camille can close out some of these long 3 setters she's started to get into..... 7-5, 7-6, 8-6, 9-7 final set scores last year show that its just a matter of time. And after you get one, the next will be easier.

Pin's game often troubles high ranked players because they're not at all used to playing against her style. She doesn't possess anything like the skill set of someone like Santoro but i think they take it to a lot of players for similar reason and often don't win for similar reasons (ie they don't have the power/players eventually adjust).

Oh my God, the computer keeps changing the way I spell stuff! :bigcry:

Seriously, I specifically remember typing Groenefeld, because I was considering whether or not to use an umlaut

It did the same with Schnyder - changed it to Schneider

Technology scares me.

Another tough loss against a top 10 players at the Australian Open.

I just realised that Camille has never even been past the 2nd round of a slam

2008 US Open will change all that :rocker2:

Disappointing loss to Safina at the Ordina Open this week. Last year, in the first round, she caused Dinara a huge amount of trouble! In fact, in their four meetings prior to this match, only one didn't go to three sets. Weirdly, it ended with the same scoreline as this match. Wait.. you can just look at the first post to find all that out..

Oh well, Dinara has really proved herself recently, and shown she is mentally strong and even more dangerous than before.

On to the next, Camille :)
