Jelena has a cab waiting pre-match leaving Flavia .

This match is strange, if Jelena wins, she won´t play qualifying at the Australian Open because of time?
Anyway, I want her to win!

I smell a competitive set, then a tank from Jelena. :(

Either way, I think Jelena can make this a battle, at least.

First and foremost, in her circumstances, Dokic would be crazy to tank. She has virtually no ranking points. She will only be able to depend on a limited amount of WCs. No doubt she will get a couple here and there. But also, no doubt, she is not going to be able to pick them up where ever she wants them. She needs ranking points above all else. And as the adage goes, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

That does not however mean I believe Dokic will beat Pennetta. Pennetta is playing better than Dokic, plain and simple. But Dokic, who has been impressive in both her commitment and her realism, does need the ranking points that are up for grad here and will do everything she can to get them. It will be competitive.

After a tight set set lose she can tank it,but I really have a great feeling about the match for Jelena. She will force her opponent. If she can beat Flavia her great run will be interrupted by stupid TA.

.:sk:.

Flavia's my pick for the title so, obviously, I pick her in two close-ish sets.

I would love and wish to see Jelena winning again - but a) I wanna see her definitely in Melbourne and b) I see Pennetta still a bit too strong at the moment.

So I say Pennetta will win like 6-3,2-6,6-4 ;)

I think that Jelena could win that match and after it go to AO qualifing..;p i want to see her in tv!;p and maybe if she win qualifing then win some match in main draw and earn a lot of points;p heh i don't think so that she could beat now Zvonareva , even Flavia could be too strong..but will see! i wish her the best now! commone!
Ps.Dokci will win 6:4 6:3 ;p

I think Flavia will get the best of Jelena in this match.
Pwerhaps it could be a blessing in disguise. Who knows?

IMO, she needs to not get ahead of herself or over-confident. She needs to take it one day at a time--one match at a time. There's no guarantee she's going to play well in qualifiers. Some of her verbiage in interviews sounds worrisome to me. I hope she just slows down and takes it easy-she could be setting herself up for some major disappointments.

Oh, but Dokic in 2.

i think she should try and win any match she is playing. if she wins this match and cant play oz open qualis then so be it. she could tank this match and lose 1st round of qualies and where does that leave her? i think getting to a wta qtr final is more important than trying to qualify for a slam where she could meet henin 1st round. all that being said i think she will lose to flavia, i just think she should go all out 100% for the win, if she does she has a chance to win it.
