Sara ERRANI: Good beginning of season for that talented italian girl. Sara reached the QF at Auckland Tier IV $145K ousting 4th seed/n°33 Krajicek en route before falling to former n°1 and eventual winner n°72 Davenport.

Olga SAVCHUK: Olga is breaking the Top 90 this week after qualifying at Gold Coast Tier III $175K. She lost to come backer 6th seed/n°18 Mauresmo in the 1rst MD round.

Patty SCHNYDER n°15 (+1): Patty is up one step after a encouraging beginnig of season at Gold Coast TIer III as Semi Finalist falling to come backer and eventual winner n°29 Li

TOP 50:
Na LI n°24 (+5): Impressive come back for Na who was out of competition for 6 months! For her 1rst appearance back on the tour , she simply won the tournement at Gold Coast TIer III ousting 7th seed/n°19 Bammer, Top seed/n°13 Vaidisova and 4th seed/n°16 Schnyder en route before having the best over talented n°30 Azarenka.

TOP 100:
Aravane REZAI n°67 (+23): Aravane is back in good form after struggling with her confidence in 2006. For the beginning of season, she equaled her best performance on the WTA tour as Runner up for the 2nd time in her career. At Auckland Tier IV, she overpowered 7th seed/n°42 Daniilidou, 3rd seed/n°27 Srebotnik en route before losing to former n°1 and now n°72 Davenport.

TOP 150:
Marina ERAKOVIC n°139 (+24): Marina was playing in her homeland. It lifted her her game definitevly reaching her 1rst SF wta toiur at Aucland Tier IV upsetting Top seed/n°22 Zvonareva en route in a thrilling 3 sets match before falling to n°90 french Rezai.

TOP 200:
Elena BALTACHA n°180 (+7): Elena had been facing many injuries in her career. Hope she'll be able to play a full calendar this year to progress in the World ranking. Last week she qualified at Auckland Tier IV before losing to 7th seed/n°42 Daniilidou.
