Read in the Melbourne Herald Sun (sorry no link) that Alicia has split from Paul Kilderry. No reason given though Paul did say that Alicia probably needs to 'hear a new voice'. No mention of any candidates.

She played her best tennis under David Taylor. Hopefully she can work with him again.

Yikes. Would be good if she was back with David Taylor, but don't see it happening.

Hmmm, interesting considering her late of year prmoising results, hopefully it will help her

Good...

Hopefully she picks someone up from overseas who can give her new insight...

I'm glad she split, Kilderry is someone IMO who can only take you so far

I was actually kind of glad that she split with Paul. I hope she finds someone who can take her that next step. Does anybody know of she split with Paul when she started getting the good results, because that would be pretty funny..but sad.

I'm happy about this step. Can't wait to know who will be the new at her side ;)

Doubt it will be Taylor as he is working with Jess Moore and co as part of the TA AIS Program i believe!!

Yeah, David Taylor is working with the trio of very talented 17-year olds...Jessica Moore, Alenka Hubacek and Alison Bai...

I doubt he will work with Alicia again....but what about Nicole Bradtke?? She might be a possibility

maybe alicia might go without a coach next season & wants to figure things out on her own.

Hmm. Lets think who could be a possibility? Rachel and Tony, John and Wally are all taken. What about Louise Pleming or Dianne Balestrat? Nicole Bradtke would not travel with her young boys.

I actually think it would be good if Alicia hooked up with someone from overseas...fresh insight and a new personality which may push her to the next level

Herald Sun reports that Alicia has hooked up with Nicole Bradtke and they have been working together for the last weeks at Melbourne Park. As Nic's husband Mark has retired from basketball it looks like it might be a permanent arrangement.

Can't remember Bradtke being such a strong volley in singles.

Never went to the net enough when it counted in her singles career. Technically a very good volleyer but only did it in desperation! Hopefully she can help Alicia with her backcourt game which recently she has lacked any strategy in.

Yeah, that should work...I remember flicking through Australian Tennis Magazines (back when they were good) before the turn of the millenium, and Alicia was temporarily working with Nicole, so they know each other well and where the other stands, fingers crossed its a permanent relationship

You are so right re the Tennis Magazine. I thought I was going mad but I have just cancelled my subscription. I have every issue since the 1976 issue which featured Di Fromholtz and her chicken pox and broken engagement news!

It all seems to have gone trendy for the young ones and all the features I enjoyed have gone. Nothing to read and very expensive to buy overseas.

The worst thing about this combination imho is that - especially judging by today's Hopman Cup loss to Mirza - Molik still needs some serious work on her footwork and court mobility.

Unfortunately, this was also Nicole's biggest deficiency..
