Misa will play a qualifier in the first round of Linz (not too happy about that, I still remember Moscow).

The quarter with Misa:

N.Vaidisova (CZE/5) vs. F.Pennetta (ITA/WC)
Y.Meusburger (AUT/WC) vs. M.Klaffner (AUT/WC)
M.Krajicek (NED) vs. Q
D.Safina (RUS/4) BYE

She could have faced more dangerous opponents so in that perspective a Qualifier is a good draw but i also remember Moscow :scared:

Come on Misa :bounce:

Hmm Karin Knapp. We'll see what happens later today I guess. ;) (Well later today for me anyway). ;)

Go Misa! One win would mean 2 spots up on the ranking, which could be very important if she wants to be seeded at the AO (well, why wouldn't she?).
But she will still lose 55 points from Hasselt, so unless she does really well, she will most likely be #33 at the end of the year. But then, I don't know how many points the others around her will lose.

If Misa's playing Gold Coast, then she's still a chance of being ranked #32 for AO seedings anyway as those points would count towards seedings. ;) I don't think anyone above her has a massive amount of points coming off. I think Fran had 55 off from Hasselt too, but she's a bit ahead of Misa now thanks to Zurich.

She lost with 6-4 4-6 6-7(4) to Karin Knapp, gets more worse week by week. Hopefully she comes back in better form for Australia next year!

Misa  :help:

But you need to explain why losing to Knapp (top 60) in a third set tiebreak is worse than losing to out of top 100 players Kremer and Perebiynis?!

Nevertheless, she shouldn't have lost. Misa lost control again when leading 6-4 4-3 and serving. I wonder why. Maybe Knapp started to do things differently, or Misa got nervous? I still think it's a mental problem with Misa.

I need to explain? OK, the last couple of weeks she lost matches where she could taken over again on any moment she wanted. In Moscow she won the second set comfortably with 6-1, she had so much chances in the third but blew them away, Ok against Bartoli it was different, but almost every game was close, and though she lost almost every game and on the important points she can't take over. Today was the same, she wins the first set, and then it looks like everything goes wrong. I don't know if she because shaky than? Ok she can lose a set, but she isn't able to turn thing around in the third and even not in the tie-break. She has to work on that.

She also can not trust on her serve anymore, it got easily broken everytime this year. I hope she will practice hard in the off season. I hope she can do something good in Australia next year! :)

It's not like every week is worse, those last five tournaments have not been good, except for the matches against Bondarenko and Mirza.
And today it didn't go wrong after the first set, it went wrong when she was serving to go up 5-3 in the second.

But I seriously hope she will get her head clear, because to me it's seems that's where the problem is. Let's hope for a fresh start in a new year without thinking about what happened this year (well, except for the good stuff of course).
