Justine Henin credits good health for successful tennis season

ZURICH, Switzerland - Justine Henin credited her successful year to her health, and with the season coming to a close she's still looking forward to adding more titles to her list.

"I want to end the season on a high," the top-ranked Belgian said Tuesday from the Zurich Open. "I still want to take one or two titles."

Besides playing in Zurich, the French and U.S. Open champion will be looking for another title at next month's season-ending WTA Championships.

"It'll be the first time in several years that I can complete my season," said Henin. "That's my other big victory this year - regularity.

"I'll have played just 14 tournaments but I'm almost at 60 matches now, with exceptional results. So far 12 tournaments, eight victories. I can't ask for much more."

Henin, who also won the Rogers Cup last summer, has an impressive 54-4 record this season. She plays Thursday in Zurich in her first match at the tournament where she first became the No. 1 player in the world four years ago.

"There are good memories for me here," Henin said. "Becoming No. 1 was important in my eyes. I was nervous and stressed. I'd already lost the chance a couple of weeks before Zurich. But then was able to do it here."

Henin has a bye in the first round, which should help her recover from a fever  that followed her win at Stuttgart, Germany, two weeks ago.

Coming into the season, Henin wasn't expecting so much success. She skipped the Australian Open after her marriage ended late last year.

"I was a bit afraid of the consequences it would have on my career," Henin said of the split with her husband. "It came at a time when I had returned to No. 1 in the world so it was a delicate time in my career. But I decided I needed to take that decision then, without thinking about what would happen on the tennis side."
