they have almost won every big titles
except for the Year-end doubles championships because they never play enough tournaments to qualify
definitely an amazing achievement by Venus and Serena
royal family of tennis
only Margaret Court and Martina Navratilove has collected all 12 GS trophies in their house.
only Martina has collected all 12 GS and YEC trophy
no one in tennis history has all 12 GS trophies, YEC and Olympics in house!

Taken individually, their stats are a lot more impressive.

Serena has won 12 of the 16 big titles.
Venus has won 10 of the 16 big titles.

Right there that puts them up there with the greats as individuals. It cheapens their achievements to insist on linking them together.

but we are talking about the
GS Trophies IN THE SAME HOUSE...
and since they live together..
wouldnt linking them together make sense??

THATS MY GIRLS!!!!!! And no amount of haterade from the usual suspects can take away from how they raised the bar of the game and continue to keep peoople talking, whether it be positive or negative!! They are definitely the most influential players of this generation.

Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova once split a cab to the US Open. That was, like, 60-70 slams IN THE SAME CAB...
and since they were good friends...
wouldn't linking them together make sense?

All I'm saying is that you are cheapening the achievements of Venus and Serena and giving too much credit to genetics.

The Royal family of women's tennis however is the Williamses :p

I agree though, it cheapens their achievements to just lump them together. Although you kind've have to with the doubles titles

This is a great record for two players, them being sisters. But Martina Hingis has won all singles (GS, Tier I, YEC) major titles except French, and all doubles major titles (GS, Tier I, YEC) except Berlin all within 1997-2000; p.s. I didn't include Olympics because then and even now it is still not yet part of official WTA tour points, etc. (although the new roadmap has plans to include it).
