well everybody saw the big bandage over her right thigh but i noticed she was running a lot slower than in the uso and her second serve was really weak and paceless by her standard serves.

i also saw her biting her thumb multiple times while playing in the final.

Personally I don't think so. She wouldn't have commited to playing 3/4 non grand slam events in the fall if her thumb wasn't ok.

I actually think at times in the final her court coverage was amazing, she can still run so fast when she wants what's killing her is footowork. It's been said so many times, the little steps to get out of her own way and be in perfect position are what's lacking.

Because of this she tries to overcompensate by sometimes looping the ball or abreviating her swings which affects the effectivness of her strokes and results in more UFE.

She was practicing for a part to play Tybalt in a Romeo/Juliet play... :p

I'm not sure, but she seemed pretty flat in Moscow, occasionally getting fired up when she was getting pissed off with herself.

I expect her to be a bit more dynamic if she makes the trip to Madrid.

Bullshit!

Elena had her thigh taped up too.

Even the commentators mentioned that it was more of a preventative measure. I have seen this match about 6 times now and its quite clear Serena simply got smoked.
But if you really need an excuse you can blame her.

I tell you what, its not affecting her game nearly as much as those extra 25 pounds she's packing

A while back I guessed 15! Serena has lost her game, if she wants it bad enough it can be retrieved. She will need a big dose of humility sided with an awful amount of hard work. No short cuts here. I think she knows what is required.

Its that extra weight. Its just funny that some of you think she can't lose at least 10 lbs, it would do her wonders on the court. She could be almost unbeatable again if she was dedicated enough.

I thought Serena seemed faster than at the USO

Her 2nd serve was dire though. Not sure why. Didn't seem like she was injured.

I think her game is slowly on the way up, and she seems slightly more streamlined than the USO imo.

Only when she loses! If she were injured, why would she play three tournaments in three weeks? She doesn^t need the points, she does need match play to get her back in shape.

first, elena have taped her thigh since 2004 if i remember correctly, second, you really need help if you watched the match 6 times, third im far for making excusses about her loss and for last i dont need an excuse because im glad elena won.

of course it is, she's not moving like she usually does and it's been like that for a long time

still credit to her for hanging on and trying to qualify for YEC

a Serena at 50% will surely make the final there

Totally agree here. Her footwork is horrid. This is why her groundstrokes are  and :o now.

I really don't know why she started serving like that in the second set of the Kremlin final. It seemed like when she was 4-1 down, she just gave up and decided she would have to play a third, so she might as well conserve her energy, but a lot of good that did, since her groundstrokes is what let her down anyway.

what a 'tard, im glad that elena won because she always wanted to win on her hometown, it has nothing to do with my hate on serena, hate that i dont have to begin with, this isnt a foolish thread because serena had her thigh and thumb injured since wimbledon i think and i was quite surprised that she still has a bandage on her leg and clearly her thumb still hurt/inch.

wtf is worn? :weirdo:

And Open Your Ass :spit:

Anyway, I think Serena's fine. She's getting better. She's 8-3 from USO-Stuttgart-Moscow, with two big wins in Moscow. She looked absolutely pathetic at the USO and was barely missing by the end in Moscow, although everyone else is right, it's her footwork that's causing her problems.
