Luke and Murphy Jensen will host the inaugural Bank of the West Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic, Dec. 8, at The Riviera Tennis Club.

Monica Seles, Jennifer Capriati, actor David Duchovny and musician Gavin Rossdale are among the tennis and entertainment stars scheduled to join the Jensens for the event. Also expected to join them are Justin Gimelstob, Carling Bassett-Seguso and Robert Seguso, actors Scott Foley, Donna Mills and Eric Braeden plus many other sports and entertainment stars.

The fun-filled day of tennis and an “Evening with the Stars” gala will raise money for a number of youth-oriented charities, including Jensen-Schmidt Tennis Academy for Down Syndrome, the National Down Syndrome Society and The Riviera Foundation.

It will be an all-day affair with a tennis pro-am followed by a kids’ clinic and a pro-celebrity tennis exhibition. The activities climax with the “Evening with the Stars” gala from 7-11 p.m. at The Riviera Country Club. The gala will feature top entertainment and a live auction.

So many exhibitions. I hope this leads to something bigger for both of them.

My fingers are crossed as well! An appearance would be nice in itself, but seeing Jen playing again would be the best thing for a Capriati supporter. Come on and give us some hope Jen for yet another incredible comeback!:bounce:

I don't think Jennifer and Monica will actually play each other Jennifer had her third shoulder surgery not that long ago. They were hopeful at best that it was going to cure her shoulder problems. I would like to see it happen and be proven wrong just much anybody but it's not very likely Jennifer will play. Jennifer has put in appearances at a lot of these events but hasn't played.

It's surprising to see that Capriati wants to play so fast after the surgery.

Nothing confirmed yet except Jennifer will make an appearance.......so this thread title is a bit premature.

What a bad release. They didn't say where the Riviera Club is. Florida? Vegas? Los Angeles? Arizona?

I can only assume that she´s to attend to at least NOT avoid being asked about playing again. Attending this thing naturally means such questions. Maybe she is about to adress something.

I assume that IF Jenn returns, there won´t be any WTA participation before Miami the earliest in 2008.
