first of all for getting to the final "on the road" and picking up some good wins

Second of all because Dementieva played unbelievable, and if she would played like that more often she would be a multi-slam winner and ranked in Top 3. Even in the 1st set Serena was totally outplayed, but she managed to win the set anyway just on fighting, big serves at important moment, and smart tactics. The fact is Dementieva was just better on the day, she dominated most of the time but Serena still made it interesting match to watch

I get it, youíre one of internet stalkers. I never had one of those before. With the, unwanted contact, and the observing my posts closely for an extended period of time. Iím not sure which category you fall into, psychotic and nonpsychotic? Have you been diagnosed with any of the following. Delusional disorder, schizoaffective disorder, or schizophrenia?

... yeah that doesnt even make any sense in regards to my post. you might want to get sober before you start posting things on an internet tennis forum. And get some help? maybe go to an AA meeting?

Thanks, but I don't drive. And I'm a Muslim, so I don't partake of alcohol.

I think she deserves credit for her attitude.
Playing a Russian in Moscow is not easy, especially if they happen to be a Moscovite.

Yet that didn't stop her from appearing to want this tournament even more than Dementieva.

Serena tried to sneak in a few times to net and it didn't work and she went away from it for the rest of the match.
The worse thing you can do against Dementieva is make a match a hitting battle.

9 times out of 10 that's asking for trouble.

I think Serena played well strategically, it just wasn't the day. The balls just wouldn't settle on the court. She hit many balls where Elena wasn't there, but lucky for her, they landed outside.

I looked through your posts, and on the 1st page 22 of your posts were about the Williams sisters.
That's more than me. :)

The real credit to Serena should be given for this:

"She just played really unbelievable, she should play like that more often," said Williams, who was making her second visit to Moscow 10 years after her debut when she lost in the first round as a 16-year-old.

"I'm not going to make excuses for myself. I played terrible. I had a feeling that almost every shot I hit, it was out," added the Australian Open champion, who committed 59 unforced errors to her opponent's 31."

That's just one of the many examples where Serena has made comments which are contrary to the general belief that she's too proud to give credit.

It amazes me that no matter how much evidence there is, when some people see Serena as "ungracious", there's no changing their minds.

Another one of these.......please stop the insanity.

Some people on this board must have either a lot of free time or an infinite capacity for the inane. If people find topics such as "Who's greater, Capriati or Sabantini/Capriati or Davenport?", or "Who's prettier, Oracene Williams or Yuri Sharapov?" worthy of bandwith, I'm sure there's room for these urgent topics too: "Who has a bigger behind, Serena or Bartoli?" and "Who picks her nose more often, Dementieva or Henin?" C'mon, stop the insanity and the inanity already!
