Lena is built solid. She's a very strong woman.

she seems really motivated to play well here in Moscow. I think lack of motivation has been a problem for her this year, along with that rib injury.

But why couldn't she do that before? She's always been a strong woman.

The radar was supplied by the Russian mob. But if it's true good for Lena. :yeah:

I didn't count as an ace as Dinara just got a frame to it.

Shoulder injury she got in Australia in 2001. She didn't want to leave the tour cuz she AFR and learned to serve differently, turning into the monstrosity we grew to love the past few years.

In 2000 she had an alright serve, but she was 18, developing her game and all. Which, unrelated, is why I'm so  at the people who say Sharapova's shoulder injury is nothing. It certainly affected Dementieva negatively in the long run.

Its never been a problem of strength, Lenas 6 feet odd tall and having seen her live myself I can say she is VERY powerfully built but her technique was all to pot, now shes slowly sorting it out and she can now put her power to good use.

I doubt it will ever be consistant enough to be a major threat, but it IS way better and the consistancy is improving albeit slowly.

no, it was very often, she served so hard on most of her 1st serves!

just it goes all over the place, only a few times went in the box

Lena hit 8 DFs in 3 service games & won the 1st set 6-1  for her DF is like a positive stat, the more she hit the better she plays

not counting DFs Lena missed fewer than 10 shots in the whole match
