She used to play so well up until the French Open last year when she lost to Francesca Schiavone-he grunting, byt he way, sounds like a car, lmao.
Anway, after that tournament, she seems to be losing all the time, she didn't even play in the Hopman Cup this year. I hope she can lift her game and perform well at the US Open-i hope its not her last Grand Slam.
Does anyone else think this or is it just me?

Amanda carried a shoulder injury after Wimbledon last eyar, which troubled her until the US Open. She played relatively well to start off with this year, then she had a hamstring strain before the clay season and has not recovered yet. Plus her legs are also aging, her legendary speed is diminishing with every month

Coetzer didnt play Hopman Cup because Wayne Ferreira was not available i think. I'm a big fan of hers but i think she's gone the way of ASV, shes getting old and speed was such an important part of her game that she cant play as well as she did then. Sadly i think we might see her retire in the next couple of years.

I love Mandy, but she could have prolonged her career IMO but not overplaying year in-year out, especially all those tier 3 events she liked to enter. No one else has gotten more mileage out of shorter legs though!
It would be great if she and Lori Mcneil made it to the WTA finals again:)
