Hey everyone,

Unfortunately, I lost to Razzano in the final today. She managed to play really well at all the right moments, so congratulations to her. I wasn't tired - I was feeling pretty fit. It's a very good win. She's having a great year. I was having a problem with my right hip - it started in the first set, and finally in the third set I had to take a medical timeout to get taped or something. I kept playing though, because I really wanted to win. I fought hard. She was just playing really well.

Anyway it's past midnight and I really need to get some sleep, because I fly out to Bangkok in the morning. But I'll try my best to talk to you all from there...

It apparently isn't very serious if she's flying out to Bangkok in the morning.

If she does play next week, she's got another chance for another title! :bounce:

Hope it's not too serious of an injury. Wish she would withdraw though, and get some rest. Three weeks in a row is a bit much. Better to be injury free for Yec if she makes it.

Hope she is fit to play for Bangkok, but if she isn't I hope she takes a week off from there. Her blogs just reveal her personality that people have never even thought they would see in her before which is great :hearts:

It's obvious that some people here do not understand the concept of appearance fees, so I will do my best to explain. Smaller-tier tournaments like Bangkok don't offer enough prize money to attract the top players, so they offer them six-figure guarantees (in this case, $100,000 and a free spa treatment) to play. Venus got paid to show up and play in Bangkok, so she's going to show up and play in Bangkok. It's as simple as that.

Good to hear that she is playing in Thailand.

This is expected to be her last tournament before the YEC.

When you consider all the health issues she had in the past, it's not a smart choice.$100,000 are peanuts for her.She doesn't need this money, so is it realy necessary to jeopardize her health for $100,000 and a free spa treatment ?

This was the tournie she committed to and was asked to play Japan when she was in Korea. At the time she obviously felt good enough to play but unfortunately she got injuried in Japan. I think honoring her commitment is more important than the money.

Anyway look on the bright side from your perspective, if she doesn't make it through the 1st round you guys will have something more to rejoice about.

Who would have thought that Venus playing teirs 3&4 would have brought so much attention, interest and excitement and ignoring no's 1&2 players.

Wow!! She's certainly the F&%@ing Venus Williams!:worship: Go Vee! :hearts: I hope she gets another opportunity to blog soon. It was so refreshing to read them.:D

The Thai fans wants to see a Venus vs Jelena final. After they played the US Open quarter finals, ticket sales went through the roof for the tournament. Hope everyone is healthy to put on a good show.

I don't think she did it for the appearance fee  She's rich enough as it is, 100k is only a small portion to her.

I thought you guys know the reason she comes to Bangkok because she mentioned once before.

She said she had another reason to come to Thailand... HOLIDAY.. because she knows Thailand is a beautiful place.. exotic asian place...

For example.. Justine Henin has bought a holiday home in Thailand recently....

So.. Vee is in Thailand for holiday plus doing tennis clinics to lower ranking players..

What do you thing about my comments? Sure you all like IT ... ho ho ho...

By the way..

The different between V and S is so obvious....

V is more wiser, when she lost she admitted and moved on to do better next time.. but her younger sister is very immature.. when she lost, she always said she wasnt at her best and blamed her opponents for being lucky or whatsoever...

I am impressed with Venus personality as a professional player..

You guys reckon so? Hopefully Serena reads what I write here..!! =)

Most of Venus fans are well aware of this. She had planned to spend this past week on holidays in Thailand but because she was asked her to play in Japan she obliged. I hope she is healthy enough to compete there so that the fans of Thailand who have been looking forward to her arrival can enjoy some fine tennis.

BTW Serena doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks. She thinks she is the best and clearly a majority of people agrees with her, therefore that leaves you in the minority so accept your position.
