First rounds shouldn't be a problem (except Marion perhaps). But she needs to find the motiviation which she hadn't in the last year :/

Good luck!

Sveta is #2 but her only title was New Haven. I'd like to see her win another.
Pile up more points at the end of the year.
Sveta had a respiratory illness early last year. If she finishes 2007 well and start 2008 well, she can stay at #2.

Well done, Sveta. I do wish you wouldn't lose the first set so often, though. Good luck in Q/F.

Sveta was really excellent today, although she had the trainer on for her abs (again) in the first set, hope they will be ok for the semi tomorrow. Davai Sveta :D

Sveta didn't play badly, but didn't play as well as she could have. The first set was excellent quality but i think she had a bit of a let down after losing that, im a little dissapointed because i know it would've meant a lot to Sveta to win the KC, but its been another great week. :D

Sveta didn't play well in the 2nd set set. She played well until the tb

I reckon that losing the tie-break disheartened her so much, she found it really hard to make anything of the second set. She did fantastically to get the break back in the first set, and to get to the tie-break, and it was heartbreaking that she didn't manage to capture the breaker. Once the first set had gone, I didn't hold out hope for the match; she'd given everything already.

But this isn't to take away from a gutsy, courageous, typical-Sveta performance today, and her achievements during the week. Even when she wasn't playing on peak form (and heaven knows she wasn't in the match against Dulko), she managed to clinch the victories - and that's the mark of a true champion. Anyone can win when they're on the top of their game; it takes a champ to grab victory when she's not at her best. Bravo Sveta ! We love ya !

Wow, wonderful post! I think she just wasn't on top in the second set. But well, again a semi-final ;)
