Where is Kaia? The Kaz Oct 6th, 2007, 12:32 PM She hasn't played since US Open...is she injured or ill or what?  -sugi- Oct 6th, 2007, 03:22 PM Sorry to not be of any help, but I have been wondering too. She was awesome in Hasselt last year. -sugi- Oct 6th, 2007, 03:27 PM I just went on her website, she hasn't got an explanation as to why she hasn't played, but on her schedule she still has Linz and Zurich down, so hopefully we can see Kaia back then :D. *Jean* Oct 6th, 2007, 04:26 PM I hope so. esquímaux Oct 6th, 2007, 04:29 PM Licking her wounds?? Meelis Oct 6th, 2007, 05:09 PM She had shoulder injury. Tomek. Oct 6th, 2007, 05:27 PM I was wondering the same yesterday  cardio Oct 6th, 2007, 05:46 PM Yes, she is recovering from shoulder injury, she is practicing now and expecting to play in Zurich qualification. In her interview to newspaper "Postimees" 3-rd of Oct she said that shoulder does not hurt any more, but because of lack of practice she withdrew from Moscow. Kanepi has new coach, Magnus Larsson. She is hoping to be in Sweden today and start practicing with her new coach. http://www.postimees.ee/031007/esileht/sport/286919.php cardio Oct 11th, 2007, 08:49 AM Kaia is practicing with her new coach Magnus Larsson in Växjö (Sweden). Her shoulder is OK now and so is her physical fitness. She played three practice sessions with her coach, one with the best Sweden junior male player and one with Stefan Edberg. Edberg is preparing to play in Copenhagen in November against Borg,McEnroe and Leconte. I wonder who was better in this practice session, Stefan or Kaia? I guess Stefan must be still better... http://www.sloleht.ee/index.aspx?id=249549 stefi62 Oct 11th, 2007, 08:57 AM Kaia is practicing with her new coach Magnus Larsson in Växjö (Sweden). But what happened with her former coach! I liked him a lot! And he made her go more to the net, which was a great effort! cardio Oct 11th, 2007, 09:04 AM I heard, Kaia`s former coach Andrei Luzgin wanted to be more time with his family and not to travel so much. And Kaia`s results were not good lately, maybe she wanted some fresh ideas how to play against top players, sometimes it helps to change the coach. Not everyone is like Henin who is with Rodriguez since she was teenager :) And Magnus Larsson is part time coach, he will not be with Kaia all the time, she have to hire extra assistant coach who can travel with her more than Larsson who is living most of the year in Växjö. | |
