you'll find the answer on monday :P , hantuchova's chances aren't too great , cause she's going to play only zurich, unless she takes some wc and with sharapova playing 2 more tournies she would need to win zurich that's 430 points and sharapova would have to loose in 1-2 round in both tournaments. There's always the chance that sharapova, venus or serena is injured seriously enough.

No. But if Venus gets injured, then Dani has every chance... ;)

And if Justine, Sharapova or Ivanovic .....one, two or all three...gets injured, then Dani is in.;)

does she ? so if daniela gets enough points in zurich and then plays linz (and quebec) and venus is injured she could do it.

She's said if it's close she'll add tournaments and has already done so in Luxembourg. If she gets beyond the last 16 in Zurich I'd fully expect her to add Linz.

do you think she'd enter quebec as well ? if it was really close i mean ?

this is sooo exciting!!!! Everyone is aiming for YEC..:bounce: unlike last few years where players(except dementieva and schnyder) was doing anything not to play it

She'll most likely be an alternate, and could easily find herself in Madrid if players pull out with injury. Like remember the year Vera Zvonareva got into the YEC? I mean I love the girl, but damn that was wack.

What's people's aim, is Dani even going to factor in if she makes the YEC?

Venus probably won't either as anything can happen but people are putting the cart before the horse here and getting excited over the prospect of Dani who most likely would not even win a match.

Let's just wait and see who qualifies, JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZ!

The question is does Daniela prefer not entering YEC or entering and going 0-3?

So Daniela "only" have to win or Semi in Zurich and Semi in Linz (ithink) ;)

I really don't understand why Venus's longtime fans are stressed about this

It is a legit question. Venus has spent so much energy chasing such measly points it is annoying for me as a fan:fiery: I want her to play the YEC and do make some noise there.
As long as Anna/Serena/Maria/Venus are not qualified then there is a mathematical chance they may not or else they would all have qualified for now.

I really don't understand why Venus's longtime fans are stressed about this :shrug:well, I'd like to see her add this title to her resume. but as important, i'd like her to play this tournament to maintain her form and to ensure her seeding at the Aus Open. there are lots of points to be gained and it is great prep for the Aus Open which I really want her to win.

One of the reasons I think Vee has done so poorly there (other than injury of course) is that she plays a light to nonexistent fall schedule and goes into the Open with very little match play since she generally doesn't play a warmup event.

I know this is about Dani, but ppl talk about Venus's chance.

Even Venus wins in Bangkok, Petrova can surpass her in the list, winning in Zurich and Linz, so still Venus is not sure to be in...

cmon it's quite unlikely that petrova or hantuchova win two titles or in zurich or in linz

I was about to say the same thing.
People are really grasping at straws here.

Venus has little to worry about. AsI reported last night, she is 309 points ahead of Daniela and should she play the Thailand tournament (and there is no reason to belive she will pull out because she said she was not tired after the Tokyo final). Should Venus do well in Thailand, Daniela will have to play the tournaments of her life to surpass Venus. At this point, Venus could surpass Maria after Thailand.

that;s interesting, but i doubt it, cause she would then play so many matches and so much travelling too.
Well hantuchova got to final last year in zurich (was or linz) so it's possible, her results are decend this year in the tier 1 and 2.

look.

Venus - 100
Dani - 1

Thats it. Its not like Dani is the one in front. No matter by how much, the margin is still bigger.
