Lost 8 games in total, just like Memphis. Tough fight from Caro in the 2nd.

A questionable call at 5-5 that went against Caro. Guess who the umpire was? ;)

Lol, it wasn't TOO too bad, just a ball that (in my view) was clearly out, and she didn't overrule.

Great fight. But a lot of chances wasted. :(

Bad call at 5-5 with Caro serving at 30-30. That ball was long and the replay showed that. :(

good enough to win.
IMO Wozniacki got two bad calls to lose that match.
at 5-5 30-30. clearly out.
and on match point....I couldn't tell but looked questionable. lol.
some of Venus' 2nd serves :tape: but still against Wozniacki who doesn't have much fire power it was the right play.

Venus looks pretty tired. I hope she pulls out of Bangkok. Cuz otherwise I predict a "shock" loss to someone within the next few matches.

I'm glad Venus could show her that it makes you stronger when you come from nothing and had to fight for every practise opportunity, instead of having everything handed to you from 11 years, when you haven't even won a championship.

Excuse me?

What the fuck?

Caro was not handed anything.

She has given her all into tennis and earned what she's gotten.

Her parents never had enough money to support her tennis career either and she was never apart of an academy that gave her a scholarship. She still to this day is not living the famous life with the money she's earned so far. She was not handed anything at 11 years-old like you seem to think.

Please, do not say comments like you did unless you know the facts or else you come off completely ignorant which is what you seem to be.

Venus Williams advances to final at Japan Open tennis
By JIM ARMSTRONG, AP Sports Writer
October 5, 2007

TOKYO (AP) -- Top-seeded Venus Williams defeated Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki 6-3, 7-5 on Friday to advance to the final of the Japan Open.

Williams will face fifth-seeded Virginie Razzano in Saturday's final after the Frenchwoman beat Flavia Pennetta of Italy 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

The Wimbledon champion had her hands full after the 17-year-old Wozniacki took a 4-2 lead in the second set at Ariake Colosseum.

"Being down 4-2 is not the set," Williams said. "If you win one game, it's pretty much even so I was just concentrating on not making any errors."

With a two-game lead, Wozniacki was hoping to make a comeback.

"I was thinking I was closer to winning the set," Wozniacki said. "But Venus played really well, she was making great shots and really raised her game so there wasn't much I could do."

Williams fought back to tie the match 4-4. Wozniacki served to take a 5-4 lead but Williams won the final three games to close out the match in 1 hour, 37 minutes.

She appeared to get a break in the 10th game of the final set. With the score tied 30-all, her return looked long but was ruled in giving Williams a 40-30 lead.

Williams then broke Wozniacki to go up 6-5 and served to win the final game.

"That was a very important point," Wozniacki said. "I saw the ball out. It could have been good, I'm not 100 percent sure so I tried not to think about it too much but that made a big difference."

Williams is playing in the tournament for the first time and is bidding for her fourth title of the season. She won the Korea Open on Sunday.

"It's been a while since I won two in a row," Williams said. "I'm thinking, 'Can I do this?' It's exciting."
