She is in the commitment list for Moscow, Zurich, Linz & Quebec before Madrid

She wants to make sure to get her spot :p

Her commitment in Tier III Quebec (the previous week of Madrid) is just :haha:

Is anyone actually expecting her there?

that's kind of stupid for her to do that, she'll be tired going into they YEC, not the brightest idea not too mention she basicly already has her spot.

she doesnt need to play that much...., and she knows it lol. maybe she is just afraid about her ranking dropping a few points because of the titles she has to defend?

She already didn't defend her Guangzhou title. That's off her resume with a TII quarterfinal instead. It's just the Moscow title now.

She really doesn't need to play much. The Moscow draw will probably be soft enough she reaches the semifinals or even finals again.

Quebec makes no sense and I'm sure she won't play it.

I don't know what's worse for her: getting Jankovic or Kuznetsova in QF or Venus or Serena if ranked in the Top 4 ;)

she rather fancy her chances against an error prone venus or serena

as it is she has no game and is way too overranked to beat any of the top players except for another overranked kuznetsova

I expect as soon as she confirms her place at Madrid she'll withdraw from Quebec and hopefully Linz. Problem is she's not played great in her last two tournaments so she still has to bag a few more points.

at least she knows she needs it. unlike Jankovic who qualified since April but still keep playing :o

That's just :o

What's the point of playing Quebec and then being too tired to do anything at YEC

Hopfully she won't play Quebek.. that is stupid.
Altough she hasn't played well at all lately.. (Against Golovin and Bartoli) so she need few tourniments.. but not Quebek!

With Hantuchova out now from Stuttgart Anna needs only few Points, I think she can reach QF or SF in Moscow.

I'm 100% sure if Anna qualifies for YEC before Quebec (and she certainly will) she won't be there.

If Quebec is paying a huge appearance fee, maybe Anna will be there.

She probably wont play Quebec if she has already qualified for the YEC by then. She needs must - if she needs to qualify for the YEC, as most players, she will play as much as she needs to.

she needs a break her loss to golovin was just because mentaly she is gone right now i'd take the rest of the season off after moscow if i was her untill the YEC! im sure she will qualify!

I hope Anna can qualify for the YEC so she doesn't have to play Quebec, she'll be too tired in Madrid if she played the week before.

I dont think she will play Quebec...she entered for just an emergency....am sure she will withdraw if not she will not do well at YEC

With Quebec it cannot possibly be about YEC. Everyone will have qualified for YEC by then - the week before.

no. Quebec points can be counted.

quebec is a stupid idea but it is good that she wnnts to secure her spot for the YEC

peanuts
Oct 5th, 2007, 08:35 AM
I guess she just wants to make sure she gets to play in her first YEC. She hasn't been playing well after USO and has Tier I points to defend in Moscow. Don't leave anything to chance. But really like most people who posted I doubt she'll play in Quebec if she'd already qualified by then.

She qualifies soon, obviously she does not want to be absent in Madrid.

no. Quebec points can be counted.

Didn't say they wouldn't count, but I'm sure the race will pretty much be sorted out the week before the event begins. Anna will definitely have qualified by then.

she will only play quebec is she slight chance arises that she hasnt qualified:)
or thats my opinion..
