Patty couldn't handle Ivanovic's power. Bad match-up for her. She showed glimpses of agressive play that could beat the Serb in those two games she won but it's visible that's not her usual game. Ana gave a nice cheesy interview after the match. Congrats
Handshake was ok this time.

What are you expecting Golovin to bring to the table that she didn't last week, when she was supposedly in great form as well? She may put more of a fight, but I expect the same overall result.

It's just incredible how much Ana has improved.credit to her.
I saw most of their matches won by Patty easily.I remember how she beat her in Linz I think in two easy sets...Patty's game was just too clever, crafty, smart for Ana then..it's amazing how it's turned now. Ana destroys Patty and I believe she'll keep on destroying her most of the time they meet..

It's similar to Ana/Tati vs. Elena/Patty.
I mean in 2005/06 partly, Elena and Patty still could beat Ana and Tati...now Tatiana has won last several meetings with Patty and Tati destroyed Lena in Miami 1 and 2.
New generation has the edge over 'the veterans'
But I believe Lena will beat them rather than Patty will...
(of course Tati is not such a threat like Ana)

You don't 'barely' beat Daniela then beat SW or JH.

Unlike some other players, Ana (whilst between coaches when they played in Warsaw in April '06) actually followed my Peppermint Prescription, winning "12-5" for her first victory in the h2h after 4 losses. And has won both of their matches since, though Berlin this year was too close for comfort. The Strange Suissie is her bitch now. :yeah:

No big revelation Patty can't go with Ivanovic when she's on her game. Had her chances in the 2nd to make it a match but the result probably would not have changed.

Although it's another huge reason why Patty needs a professional coach rather than her drop kick "professional billiard player" husband :o
Her tactics for this match were pretty much "Hope Ana plays poorly".

Such a shame as well because you see the type of tennis she is capable of playing in glimpses throughout the second but it's never going translate into the player she should have been. such a waste

No, what would be a shame would be if Patty Played well enough for her Criminal Coach to use that to take ova the career (and maybe personal life) of a young, talented, but psychologically fragile player, you enabler.

I expressed no desire to see Patty win this match - i simply said her talent had been wasted and Rainer was a worthless coach.

It's quite sad the way you seem to want to alienate the people who are at least partially sympathetic to your "cause". You seem to get such satisfaction from annoying people :o

is the Swedish flag meant to be ironic as well? i wouldn't think someone of such high moral standing would associate himself with a country that had such well documented dealings with the Nazis (despite their apparent neutrality).

You've got more nationalities than DutchWannabeGirl. Anyhow, its just a flag of convenience, and it is time to change it. (Specially since Annika took up with somebody else after her divorce). :sobbing:

Of course the Suissies were far worse Nazi enablers than the Swedes, who were conquered during WW2. (SUI is never invaded because "nobody drops a bomb on his own money"). :hehehe:

Technically you're correct in that you didn't express disappointment @ this individual result. But that seemed basically out of resignation. IMO, anyone who wants Hoffy 2B unable to "capture" a young talent should want Patty Pounded.

If ALG were still with Rafi, I'd say the same thing. (In fact, I was a Meghann-hata B4 I ever heard of Hoffy). And if Dokic or Sprem ever makes a serious comeback while still with the Bikic Bastards, I'll want that one to lose for the same reason.
