A message for Justine:

Justine I want first to say congratulations to you because you are so a great tennis players, you have become the most in my opinion successful player since 2005. You started the year with something bad but you ended it up great.

Your run at the Us Open was great beating my favorites, Venus and Serena in a row and I don't want to repeat and say that they were injured because that would be like insulting your talent and determination to win.

I love Venus and Serena to death and I hate when they loose to somebody that can't be compare to they but you, Justine, you are in their level of talent (being seriously) maybe at level of Venus. Sorry it's that their my favorite you know.

I really want to say that I am impressed of all the things you have achieved this year. This year was brilliant I can't compare it to your previous years. You seem so determined right now that I am really impressed. Your number one right now and you deserve it.

It's great to know that you are feeling so happy and confidence that it makes me want to be like you. Sorry for the bad words I said to you, in my mind, when you were defeating Venus and Serena back to back, I didn't mean it but in that moment I was you know.

I'm starting to like you every day more and more. Your a very respectful person and a lovely one too. My respect for you. I admire you. You are my third favorite player!!

I don't think there is anything wrong with liking both Serena + Venus + Justine at the same time. :p

They are my 3 favorite players as well.

The "open letters" generally don't turn out well for some reason. I've been thinking about writing one to Patty Schneider and her husband.

There is a lot to like about all three players. What each has contributed to this generation of tennis is quite remarkable.

:tape: don't get it, but to each his or her own!

no amount of winning by any other player will ever make anyone other than Venus Williams my favorite player.

that said, there is lot to be said for respecting other players so props to Justine for her recent run. still, next time she meets Venus, I want Venus to stomp her into the ground (you know, respectfully though) lol

There is no doubt that Justine will dominate the WS from here onwards. She has more talent than both the WS combined. The WS are boring to watch and justine is the one who brings in the audience when they play.

Nice post, hacberto. You show a maturity (tennis appreciation wise and personal) that many can't quite come to grips with. This includes fans of both players.

:wavey:ok, i guess backhanded compliments are at the top of the food chain in maturity terms that is. why not just say good post, if that's what you believe. why the slap at the "many" who supposedly aren't as mature.

whatever, though.

Sincerely, I share your feeling.

At the end of the day, when emotions, :fiery: , have settled down and the heats of the battle have dissipated, we should all pay due respect to Justine, Serena, and Venus as great champions of their generation. Serena and Venus were better prior to 2003 and Justine has been better since. For 2008, I have to ask my crystal ball and let you know later.

Love is in the eye of the beholder, I just happen to love Justine's game far above anyone elses, even Federer's. What she can do is just phenominal given her physique. But that does not mean others cannot have their favorates for other reasons which are, of course, beyond my comprehension.

Let's cut the hatred and when the battle begin, as always, the best will win. As for me, I hope the best and the lightest will win.

Nice post! Justine and the Sisters are indeed the top tier players today. I loved the Venus-Justine match at the USO. Overall, the quality was very high. Though I prefer Justine^s game, Venus is far from being boring. Both ladies made returns of great shots that only they could make. Both played agressive attacking tennis and were excellent at the net. Too bad they did not play the Wimbledon final! This should have been the USO final too.

In that case I've got a few things to say to her, especially now that she's single...:lick:
