I can't give the guy full blame for this. I don't think he intended to offend.

He probably didn't tend to offend, but still you have to be careful who you talk to like that. Miss Labelle certainly put him in his place.

awwww, poor fella! Pattie told him though....she's not Little Kim......he was young enough to be her grand baby....that's what offended her. She's old school....you don't talk to your elders like that. :help:

However, Pattie checked herself and got over it quick and mended fences so all was good in the end. She probably cooked that boy a meal after the concert.

I don't think she went off on him because she's 'Pattie Labelle' singer extraordinare but because she's a 60+ year old lady who thinks a man that young has no business engaging in sexually suggestive convo with someone her age.

ROTF!! I see Patti's legal team has threatened the owner of the video. I would demand for that embarrassing video to be removed also. As much as I love Patti she overreacted. She asked the fan to come on stage, then made a comment about him dancing too close to which he jokingly stated, "You wanted it more than I did". Trust, I would never say this to an older black woman myself, but it was a JOKE. She could of came back with something else and excused him from the stage, but she had to get ignorant and ghetto. It wasn't that serious, I still like her music though but my impression of her changed after viewing that video. I always thought Patti was a gracious diva, not a raging lunatic.

Thanks, tucker1989.

Patti definitely overreacted. Sure she's an older woman deserving respect, but the comic atmosphere was set with her asking him to sing along and dance to a song about a man's encounter with a Creole prostitute in New Orleans.....Didn't like how, when she realized she was over-the-top, she made the man come back up and grovel....
