Hi everyone!!! :D
Just wondering if anyone else got to see Prince at the O2 Arena in London??
I've been a fan of Prince's for about 20 years! Yes I was a baby when I bought my first album of his!! haha :p
Anyway, I had never seen him live and I honestly never thought I would - but I was lucky enough to get tickets to see his live show on 12th September :worship:
I was in the 5th row of the lower tier, so I was level with the stage and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!!!! :worship: :hearts: He played all the songs of his which I love - 1999, Let's Go Crazy, U Got the look, Kiss, Cream, Guitar, I feel for U, Little Red Corvette, I would die 4U, When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, he did some cover versions of We will Rock you, Le Freak, Crazy (originally by Gnarls Barkley) and my favorite cover of.....All Along the Watchtower morphing into Best of You by the Foo Fighters, which was truly awesome!!!!!!!! :hearts:  :worship: Then in the two encores, he played Sign O' the Times, Pop life, Alphabet street and Raspberry Beret!! (In total he played over 30 songs) It was a really amazing night, everyone was dancing and the whole place had such a great atmosphere!!! 2 and a half hours of pure genius!!! :hearts:
Since last wednesday, I did manage to get tickets to the show on yesterday 16th September and it was another kick arse show!! :yeah:
This time I managed to get tickets on the floor level, so I was right next to the stage!!! :D Got a great close up look at him, he is sooooooo tiny and such a flirt with the audience!! hahaha  He spent a lot of the night over near my section of the stage, so I was really lucky to get to see him so clearly throughout the whole show!! awwwwwww..it was so brilliant that he was so close and it was pretty surprising that he interacted so much with that section of the audence, it was another great night!! He does change the set list slightly each night - tonight he played 1999, Cream, Kiss, Musicology, If I was your girlfriend, Adore, I would die 4, Little Red Corvette, Under the cherry moon, Nothing compares to U, U got the look, Guitar and Purple Rain. He covered Led Zepplin's Whole Lotta Love  And in the encore - his usual teasing with the crowd...and played a DJ set of Sign of the Times, When doves cry, Poplife, The most beautiful girl in the world and Raspberry Beret!! (That wasn't all of the songs, he again played about 30, even though the show was a little shorter)
Really, I've had a fantastic time on both nights that I went - I can well understand how some of the fans have gone along on nearly everynight!! :hearts: The man is a genius!! :worship:
Has anyone else gone to see him at the O2 Arena??? :D
:bounce: :rocker2: :bounce:
