I would've gone itno my first grandslam final with a different mentality if I knew it was my only chance. Why do you think she didn't win a slam she was an excellent player.

Ooooooo ask Pamela yourself I'm sure she'll be around.

Pam needed to play Betty Stove in the final.

It's talent. Everyone WANTS to win, but only a few have what it takes. Either you got it or you don't.

Poor Pam.

Pam didn't win because she's so nice. She WANTED other people to take the glory and can't stand to see others disappointed- that's how nice she is.;)

I expect a backhander for this, Pam.

Pam is a legend. It must be so difficult for her to have that 'never won a singles slam' hanging over her amazing career.

Doubles is more important. Pam is the Grand Slam champion of laughs anyway.

Pam is the Champion of our hearts.

I even love the Ping Pong Pam. Long live that 96 match against Anke!

Well, she is the only consistent top 10 player I can think of that has as many titles as hairstyles ;) Go Pam!

22 slam titles and an Olympic gold medal should not be sniffed at. more than Annabel Croft managed anyway.

Pam wasn't very fast. Her opponents could and did exploit this. However, it was no problem in doubles.
