Well I haven't posted here in like SO long but my first msg back is a BIG ONE!

I was at a VIP bar called Eden last night in nyc when my friend introduced me to them both. Her friend is dating Jen's brother. They were there just having fun being the normal people they are. GETTING DRUNK WHOO HOO. I really didn't get to talk to her cause she kinda sat in the corner away from people. She looked really hot..wore tan pants and a black lace like shirt. She drank apple Martini's and Corona. I was a little drunk by the time I got to the bar otherwsie would have turned off the gay charm and turned on the str8 charm and started to hit on her. LOL

That's my msg :wavey:

Going to have a drink in a bar , for me , is an indication that a person is really bored and struggles to entertain herself. Pubs and bars is the last refuge of bored.

Great story TennisStud !

and TeeRexx, your displaying your bitchyness again. I cant see the connection between drugs and having a drink in a bar.

Incidently wasn't Venus or Serena (or both) against random drug testing as well?

Great story!- Besides her brother, who else was she there with? Was it a big group of friends or just a few people that she was hanging out with?

jenn is having a night out and suddenly that is supposed to create some link to doping. Grasping, totally grasping at straws. I guess Venus and Serena are busy praying to "their God". The same girls who pose in VERY SKIMPY outfits for magazine layouts and we are supposed to believe that they are some Sunday school girl? How boring!

Well she was there because of her brother. My friend from arizona is here interning with me. Her friend is also here from AZ interning and i guess stephen came to visit his gf my friends friend and we all went out and jen came too. There was some big shot NJ Nets player there and they talked together for a while. Maybe they met at a sporting thing.

Reading this thread makes me wonder why it took me this long to put Tee Rexx on my ignore list?

Nobody in this world has the right to judge anybody.

It is unfortunate that people like Tee Rexx act ignorant, and don't realize that.

It really leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

I remember when Jen came to my place with a huge keg!!!!:lick: :lick: I was so releaved because the alcohol was almost gone, but I knew I could rely on Jen to come up with the goods. My friends were all in shock when she came but we had a great time with Jen. She was great at the keg stands. She promised to stop by again during the US Open, I can't wait.

LOL....we really didn't talk that much. I was already kinda lit when I got to the bar and Jen was kinda in the corner talking with the boy from the NJ nets(NO THEY WERE NOT TOGETHER). She seemed kinda of out of place she didn't want to be seen I guess. I just wish i could have cahtted with her more i would have made her my friend in five minutes. But, if I had the chance I would have hit on her too, my bf would not have enjoyed me doing that but oh well. ;)

TeeRexx:

Are you implying that Venus and Serena are dominating the tour because Jennifer Capriati went out to a club and had a drink with her brother?

Please fill us all in on your thought process.

Are you also implying that because Jennifer Capriati went out to a club and had a drink with her brother she must be doing drugs as well?

Again, please explain.

Why is Venus against random drug testing? You must have a similar theory for her as well.

I have to say that you are perhaps the most childish and immature poster on this board. It would not bother me that we had opposing views on so many things if you were intelligent enough to explain or back up your views with any rationale.

You're clearly an idiot.

Now. Thanks for the post TennisStud. It's nice to know that the players do have some time to be real people and enjoy themselves...:)

Hi all, I am happy for Jen and company to go out and have a "normal" life. And for anyone that says they do not go out and live a little is lying. Boy the saints and nuns on these boards really are doing a disservice to the religious community! And what a lucky person tennisstud is........ Anyways keep having fun and going out.......And to Jen and Steven keep it real and have fun, you only live once.

BTW- I do not recall Jennifer saying she was against testing for drug use in the WTA. Capriati said that she did not support an on the spot test at the players homes. In fact the letter that the WTA released to the public stated that ALL top players were tested at some point last year for doping and that ALL passed.

Sanex WTA Tour Official Statement
July 12, 2002

St. Petersburg, FL (July 12, 2002) -- “While it is not the policy of the Sanex WTA Tour to respond to baseless conjecture, I feel compelled to address comments made recently by John Mendoza, the Executive Director of the Australian Sports Drug Agency (ASDA), a highly respected and important partner in worldwide efforts to keep sport drug free.

Until now, the Sanex WTA Tour believed its efforts, and those of the Tennis Anti-Doping Program in general, were completely consistent with ASDA’s objectives. However, in light of the irresponsible and damaging remarks attributed to Mr. Mendoza, dismissing the legitimate talent and efforts of our players, we question the validity of ASDA’s own stated goals.

“We categorically reject the claim that the success or physical condition of women’s tennis players today is proof of rampant drug use. In 2001, several hundred anti-doping tests were carried out on more than 140 different Sanex WTA Tour players at various Sanex WTA Tour Tournaments, Grand Slams and Fed Cup competitions. Top players were tested as many as eight different times, and we are proud of – but not surprised by – the fact that no anti-doping offenses were committed in 2001.

“It is a priority and goal, both of the Tour and its players, to increase and expand anti-doping efforts, education and testing in 2002 and beyond and we are committed to making that a reality. Stereotyping our athletes as dopers is simply unfair and unacceptable. We will not tolerate remarks like Mendoza’s and anxiously await the retraction and apology we have demanded from ASDA.

-- Kevin Wulff, CEO, Sanex WTA Tour

Nothin' wrong with having drinks, Tine. But, really, why would you go to pub other than because you are bored and have nothing better to do? I'd always prefer drinking with my friends at home to drinking in some public place. The only reason for me to go to pub is when there is some sport event and I would like to get more adrenalin going, get into more stadium-like athmosphere, or if that sport event is not on my TV. But otherwise, it seems to me, pubs is the last option of entertainment ( ok, next to last, still better than bowling, of course ), but if I ever go to pub, it is a signal for me that I got too much time on my hands at the moment.
