;)

If not higher. Seriously, I get that feeling that she still has a slam or two in her, and her baby may be all the inspiration she needs :)

She has to play at least four events to be in the top twenty before 2008.

So far Lindsay has played exactly ONE singles match since her comeback. Can we please wait with these kind of threads until she actually has played some more? Thanks :p

Lindsay ain't satisfied with top 100? Damn, she's selfish, that ho!

No, Lindsay won't be near the top 20 unless she plays a very heavy schedule and does incredibly well. And to my knowledge she's only playing Bali and Beijing this fall.

It's funny that Davenport isn't playing in Europe considering she has one of most imposing indoor records on tour. Although obviously the demands of being mother have to considered.

She easily could be back in the top 50 or higher by years end if she played a full schedule. As has been said though let's not get ahead of our ourselves - it's just one match.

I hope she will play Quebec City in October!

yea i think people are getting a litle ahead of themselves.. Lindsay needs the time to spend with her baby and to be able to take care of herself.. she will take a few months to get match fit and re-adjust back to the tour.. that said if she was to do very well in both Bali and Beijing i wouldnt be suprised if she would add a few european stops to her tour

I totally agree and just now realized she's only playing two tournies and not going over to europe not a big surprise; she's never loved europe.

Given this she's surely not going to finish inside the top 50 even if she wins both tournies she has committed to play, I haven't done the math so I am not totally sure; now given some mathematical intuition these two tournies won't suffice her a ranking inside the top 50 at least that's my belief on intuition and logic.

Nevertheless, game wise she's top 35 and quality wise top 25 even now. :worship: Those ground strokes will always be legendary and her timing unsurpassed.

I suppose her main goal is to enjoy herself on court and in the competition and hasn't got many goals ranking wise no?

lindsay hates europe.

That's not totally true though. She always liked the venues at Filderstadt and Zurich, but it's eventually both cities will not have events.

Thinking of it this way, it's kind of funny to think that someone can make a comeback AFTER all slams have been completed, and still have a chance to be top 20 for end of year. I'm really happy Lindsay is back, though :yeah:

The only way Lindsay can get back into Top-20 is winning Bali, Beijing, Moscow and Zurich. If she managed to do it she would definitely deserve her place in Top-20 despite not competing at the Slams.

In fact, the two tourneys in Stuttgart/Zurich are just 30 minutes by plane away from each other.

Itīs well known these 2 events are the most popular after the US Open for ages.

Itīs a sad fact though that the cold weather prevents most American and Asian players from enjoying Europa that time of year though.

Lindsay loved Stuttgart but I highly doubt with that elite field there this year to say farewell to this event (it will come to return in summer 2008 on indoor clay) that Lindsay would want to return there.

I hope she does win another grand slam. Hopefully she can win the French and complete the grand slam.

well, she needs to earn about 600 points. Unless she wins two Tier IIs it ain't gonna happen.
