I don't know if you can call it lack of respect, but in my opinion it's pretty bad.
after her first us open win, they anounced her as 'CHRISTINE henin'. and now apperently they called for 'justine henin-HARDENNE'.
is it really that difficult? I can't see it happen at another slam

And that same guy addressed her in this year's trophy presentation by her married name, Justine Henin-Hardenne! No wonder she hate the US Open. They need to get their act together and learn foreign names. It's already bad enough that American players don't learn other languages while Asian and European players commit to learning English. Blah

It was sort of a dumb mistake, but she was smiling so I don't think it was that bad, he corrected himself also. If someone is giving me a check for 1.4 million, he can call me Neely O'Hara for all I care!

They really do! The Americans aren't multi-lingual like the Aussies, for example. I mean, Pratt's French is better than Bartoli's and Dechy's combined.

That's horrible. Whats so hard about getting it right? Clearly someone just doesn't do their job. For it to be a Grand Slam I think it's pretty dumb to not know the actual name of the top women's player in the world.

I thought Spanish was an official US language?

Isn't being dumb and ignorant a valued thing at the top of organizations in the US?
Look at Bush?

Get a life people! Justine did not seem to notice the mistake herself until David corrected himself, her response was a smiling faced laugh. I, who adore her, still sometimes think of her as JHH. Obviously there are lots of USA haters here. Its too bad we got involved in World War Two, otherwise you pretentious loseers would all be speaking German or Russian today.
